1 MANDEL TRAINING CENTRE is pleased to offer the MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (MDP) at 1

2 Mandel Training Centre, Marlborough, Harare Objective of the Program The program aims at building an effective manager by working on their General Management Competencies. The fundamental objective of the MDP is to improve the effectiveness of delegates as leaders/managers and as individuals and, hence to improve the effectiveness of the organisations they represent. "Awareness" has been highlighted as a central theme of the MDP. This refers, in this context, to awareness of organisations and their inter-dependent functions, and of the self and others in interpersonal interactions. As a development programme, the MDP aims not merely to increase knowledge but to invoke changes in attitudes and practices, and to promote growth of an intellectual and emotional nature. The changing economic environment requires that individuals and organisations be more vigilant and more flexible in scanning trends, in looking into the future and in planning accordingly. The MDP aims to equip the management leader to this end. The objectives will be met through formal teaching, through experiential learning within the framework of the programme and the training and monitoring activities of the respective organisations; and through participation in group situations concerned with interpersonal relationships and Individual growth. Delivery Methods Case Studies Interactive Group Discussions Applied / Research based assignments Return On Investment On HRD A tripartite discussion will be held between Mandel, Line Manager and Participant. Through the first discussion the individual participant will do an initiative choice and commit to implementation with the support of the line manager. This will be followed up to assess the value add. This process has led to tremendous changes of systems for some of our clients especially where the organisation supports the participant to implement what has been learnt. Participants are expected to demonstrate, practically, how they have benefited from key learnings in every module.
