A valid Massachusetts State Journeyman Electrician license absolutely required (a photocopy of the license must accompany your application). A minimum of 1-2 years experience with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical work on production equipment within a commercial or industrial environment. The ability to design, install, maintain and troubleshoot and repair a wide range of electrical circuitry including motors, control panels, PLC operated machinery, heating units, lighting, etc. The ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics. Demonstrated ability to work independently in the successful performance of assigned projects. Good decision-making skills including considerable initiative, clear judgment and some ingenuity. Must have excellent problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Flexibility in work schedule is also required for possible overtime, work on holidays, weekends and extended hours with minimal notice and as required by operational need. 4 Machine Operator 5 th Shift Manufacturing YCP - Manufacturing 5 th Shift A-Team, Rotating Days, 5:45AM 6:00PM Non-Exempt, Full-Time Specific responsibilities include running equipment and troubleshooting, following schedules and calculating formulas, exercising good judgment to comply with instructions and standard procedures. Will need to be knowledgeable in using automated and manual equipment including: basic hand tools, temperature gauges, wax tanks, pumps, hoses and packaging equipment. Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment required for Machine Operator position. Good analytical skills to troubleshoot and problem solve equipment. Expectation to produce product at specific rates for each piece of machinery while maintaining quality standards. Ability to exert physical effort up to 40% of the time for weights up to 60 lbs. Be an effective team player, as well as have the ability to work independently. A good working knowledge of basic arithmetic and the ability to calculate percentages. Strong attention to detail a must. Basic knowledge of computers a plus. Flexibility in work schedule is also required for possible overtime, work on holidays, weekends and extended hours with minimal notice and as required by operational need. 5 Mechanical Technician Mechanical YCP-Manufacturing 2 nd shift: Monday Friday, 1:30PM 10:00PM Non-Exempt, Full-time The mechanical technician position performs a variety of mechanical duties to adjust, trouble shoot, repair, maintain, install and rebuild customized industrial machinery to support operational business goals. The mechanical technician will work from mechanical drawings and schematics in accordance with standard practices; will read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics and drawings. Analyze and trouble shoot programmable logic controllers, input, and output devices using ladder logic interpretation. In addition, the mechanical technician will work with our team of engineers to determine root cause and corrective actions. A minimum of 3 years previous work experience performing industrial mechanical work on various systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical control systems. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, rebuild and install mechanical components, or closely related experience, is required. Must be service-orientated including strong skills in communication, cooperation and diplomacy. Ability to work independently in the successful performance of assigned projects. Ability to exert physical effort to lift weights up to 60lbs on a frequent basis. Ability to read and write in the English language required in order to interpret blueprints & schematics, as well as to complete work-order requests and record work performed. Basic computer skills including usage and PLC control experience preferred. Electrical knowledge and ability to operate fork trucks and man lifts a plus. 7 Seasonal Host Chandler s Tavern Chandler s Restaurant Varied Seasonal Non-Exempt The purpose of this position is to greet each guest and seat them, answer the phone and take reservations. This position is the first impression of Chandler s Restaurant and the person holding this position will need to be able to multi task and at all times remain friendly. This person will need to be proactive with ensuring the exceptional service of Chandler s. The ability to be friendly and personable to staff and customers, understanding they are the first impression of Chandler s Restaurant. Willingness and ability to handle a variety of tasks including taking any special requests for the reservation i.e. cake, flowers, table requests and other special requests. The ability to rotate the servers with tables to help create an even flow of the restaurant. Ability to answer phones and take reservations, noting all special requests An understanding of the special events at Chandlers i.e. Wine Tasting events, BBC Beer Dinners, etc Able to assist when needed in maintaining the dining area. This person will need basic money handling skills as basic knowledge of simple food prep. Demonstrated ability to perform work assignments as directed independently, under general supervision Basic register experience and money handling Willingness and ability to handle a variety of tasks including preparing food and restocking all areas of service Basic knowledge of areas in the Yankee Candle Village The ability to be friendly and personable to staff and customers The ability to stand and walk for periods up to 8 hours Culinary background recommended, but not required Flexibility in work schedule is also required for possible overtime, work on holidays, weekends and extended hours with minimal notice and as required by operational need. 8 Seasonal Property & Guest Services Worker Property & Guest Services YCV- Yankee Candle Village Weekends, 6:00AM 4:30PM Periodic Part-Time, (Varied # Shifts, Minimum 3 per Quarter) Non-Exempt, Seasonal, Full-Time Performing a variety of routine duties involving a number of manual and other related operations involved with emptying trash & cleaning the employee and guest restrooms at YCS including: the Retail Store, Candlemaking Museum, Chandlers Restaurant, the Employee Fitness Center and the office area restroom. Also, providing cheerful customer service by way of advice, information, and assistance to our customers and guests. At least 1 year of custodial/maintenance experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and a wide variety of customer assistance and information. Previous customer service experience would be preferred. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required. A valid driver s license and a good driving record required. Demonstrated ability to exert physical effort up to 40% of the time to handle weights over 60 lbs. The ability to safely operate a variety of power tools such as drills, saws, and etc., as well as common hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers. The ability to drive and or operate power equipment such as All-Terrain vehicles, lawn tractors, and snow blowers. Experience in maintaining a professional floor care program including VCT, Marmoleum and Carpet. Ability to perform Preventative Maintenance programs for all related P&GS equipment such as scissor lifts, compressors, company vehicles, etc. Troubleshoot potential issues for repairs and reporting purposes. Ability to work independently as well as a team. 9 CORPORATE OPPORTUNITIES DEPARTMENT: Part-Time Customer Service Associate Consumer Direct YRS Customer Contact Center 1st & 2 nd Shift, hours varied Part-Time, Non-Exempt Job Summary : The Part Time Customer Service Rep is responsible for a variety of routine customer contacts via the telephone, and letters. This position will be responsible for accepting and assessing customer orders as well as addressing customer concerns and questions. The ideal candidate will be able to place and review orders, review gift certificates, process claims and special requests and credits/returns. The candidate will also be called to answer questions with regards to YCC retail operations and will require above average phone etiquette and excellent communications skills. Demonstrated customer service skills preferably in a retail sales office and/or a call center environment. Exceptional oral & written communication skills including business correspondence. Highly adaptable to various clerical routines requiring speed, accuracy, flexibility and confidentiality. Ability to operate, with accuracy, Computer, ten-key calculator/adding machine, and facsimile machine. Thorough knowledge of basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in the process of calculating customer order costs, credits, and/or shortage information. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a team member in a very busy office setting. The energy, enthusiasm, time and dedication to take on a fast-paced, demanding, and dynamic position Flexibility to work overtime hours including weekends and holidays as operation need may require. 10 Seasonal Compensation/HRIS Analyst Human Resources YCP Monday Friday, 8:30 am 5:00 pm Exempt, Full-time, Seasonal Yankee Candle is looking for a Human Resources analyst for a dual role, responsible for providing support to the Compensation and Human Resource Information Systems areas within Human Resources. You will assist in the implementation and administration of the company s compensation programs, policies and procedures. You will also help with the day to day operation of the HRIS system. Ensuring user interactions with HRIS systems comply with established policies, procedures and best practices. In specific, but not limited to the successful candidate will: Assist with assigned wage and salary surveys, correctly identifying company benchmark jobs and submitting data within specified deadlines. Work with company managers to market price hourly and salaried positions. Gather and assess data utilizing electronic database and other sources to determine appropriate placement within company pay structures Works with company Recruiters and HR Generalists on compensation requests. Assisting in the administration of merit and incentive plan programs and certain compensation adjustments. Support the day-to-day management of the HRIS system. Ensures integrity of data. Supports the data collection and reporting necessary for business units. Prepares HR reports in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains and produces ad-hoc reports to support internal customer needs and special projects. Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience. 2-4 years analyst experience preferably in Compensation and HRIS Proven analytical ability coupled with problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task and self-manage through multiple priorities Ability to understand and enforce HR policies/practices and systems; excellent organizational skills, detailorientation and a pro-active work ethic. Prior experience working with highly confidential information with diplomacy and tact. Strong verbal/written communication skills coupled with effective organizational and time management skills. The ability to work independently or as a member of the team as needs require, along with the ability to influence without authority and communicate with various levels of management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and knowledge of HR-related policies/procedures including knowledge of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations. 11 Senior Occupational Health Nurse/Case Manager Human Resources YCP - Manufacturing Monday - Friday; Core hours between 6AM and 5PM, some periodic evening/night work will be needed. Exempt, Full-Time The Occupational Health Nurse has a very strong positive impact on the business and on employee health, wellness & safety. One of the main focuses of the Senior Occupational Health Nurse is to successfully case manage Workers Compensation claims throughout their life-cycle with specific accountability for driving overall results. Additionally the successful candidate is able to examine, treat and appropriately refer employee injuries and illnesses (occupational and non-occupational) in a timely and professional manner resulting in positive outcomes. They will coordinate return to work and transitional light duty assignments and assist in the coordination of leaves of absences and accommodations. Respond to emergency medical incidents on the local campus, and provide consultation, education, referrals and screenings on wellness, disease and disability management. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Case Manage Workers Comp Claims - Work closely with employees and our management team, along with the insurance carriers and medical providers to work through injuries and illnesses impacting employees work activities in a timely, cost effective manner that supports the employee and the business. Lead or assist in the Return to Work and Accommodation processes from a medical standpoint Provide emergency and acute care. Conduct lifting assessments and other screenings and tests. Maintain company records including OSHA logs, workers compensation claims, exposure records, and employee medical/health records. Responsible to train and mentor employees in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens. Lead/participate in Occupational Safety & Health programming such as Hearing Conservation, Ergonomics, Respiratory Protection, etc. Licensed Registered Nurse required, COHN preferred. 5-7 Years of Occ. Health or Case Management experience a must. Acute Care/Trauma experience desired. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills. Critical thinking/problem solving skills and the ability to think strategically are a must. Very strong telephonic communication skills. Strong proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and also Web Based applications. Must be able to effectively lead others and to provide direction to a group of employees; training, assisting and instructing employees. Demonstrated ability to manage projects while effectively self-prioritizing individual workload. Technically competent in the field of Occupational Safety and Health. Thorough knowledge of safety & health issues and practices within a manufacturing/logistics environment required. Previous experience within a retail industry a plus. Strong drive for results. Unquestionable ethics and integrity. Strong ability to work in a team atmosphere. Demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information required.
