6 OUR SOCIAL MISSION IN ACTION Our commitment to our social responsibility and sustainability dates back to 1972, when Danone s then CEO, Antoine Riboud, established our dual project for business success and social progress through which we strive to create value for all of our stakeholders. In a groundbreaking speech Antoine pledged... Corporate responsibility does not end at the factory gate or the office door We should lead our companies with our hearts as much as our heads. 7 HEY! Healthy eating for young children Eat like a champ Danone Nations Cup We annually invest around 1.5 million in our social impact initiatives, which transform people s lives in local communities all over the UK and Ireland. Our Healthy Eating for Young Children (Hey!) and Early Years Nutrition Partnership (EYN Partnership) work to improve the future health outcomes of young children through education programmes and nutritional standards in early year s settings. Our Eat Like A Champ (ELAC) programme aims to tackle the issue of childhood obesity and poor nutrition among primary school aged children through education about healthy eating, healthy hydration and staying active. We also sponsor the ESFA Danone Nations Cup (DNC), which is part of the largest global football tournament for 10 to 12 year olds. At Danone, we pride ourselves on being a great place to grow. One way in which we support this is by offering all Danoners the opportunity to support and get involved in their local communities. Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet new people, build community cohesion, create networks and develop key skills. We prioritise volunteering activities that support our company mission and Manifesto aims, particularly in the communities that are local to office and factory locations in the UK and Ireland.

9 CASE STUDY: FROM CONCEPT TO SHELF OUR GRADUATE COMMERCIAL This level of ownership gave me real enthusiasm for the project and I was proud to see the results of my work in the supermarket! During my first few months with Danone, I was tasked with managing the operational coordination behind a launch of 3 new products. I was empowered to visit our factories in Europe to discuss the project timeline and develop strong working relationships with my contacts. I was responsible for managing different functions and ensuring the products were delivered to retailers within time and budget constraints. 10 your ROLE YOU COME INTO REAL ROLES AT DANONE, WITH RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY FROM THE OUTSET: MARKETING: Leading some of Danone s new product development projects including agency briefings, product development and launch recommendations. Reviewing, building and implementing brand communication plans. Reviewing and developing packaging for the brands. Performance tracking and analysis of Danone s products and the wider market. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? On our Commercial programme, you will have two 1 year rotations developing your commercial skills. During this time, you will get close to our consumers and understand how to build and develop market leading brands. SALES: Gathering and analysing information to help shape account strategy. Agreeing annual business plans with Danone s customers. Influencing and educating store managers. Implementing customer plans at local store and depot level. CASE STUDY: FROM ZERO TO HERO During my first rotation on the Graduate Scheme I was delighted to be the runner up in Danone s Global Zero Waste Competition which led to me becoming involved with a project outside of my day to day role. Along with one of my fellow Grads, I launched an internal campaign which sought to raise awareness of and ultimately reduce the amount of waste produced within Dairies. We took full responsibility for this from creation of the initial idea, its launch and running, as well as evaluation throughout the process. As a team we were pushed to step out of our comfort zone and it gave us the opportunity to work closely with other business units and functions. The learning curve was certainly a steep one, however managing a project of this size, bringing the idea to life and working on it at all stages was an amazing opportunity. 11 CASE STUDY: GAME, SET & MATCH For my first rotation on the Graduate Scheme I ve worked in Sales for Waters on the Tesco and Asda accounts. One of the biggest events of the year for Evian is Wimbledon as we sponsor the event. As a result we work hard to ensure we have a big store presence during Wimbledon through in-store activation. As part of my role I managed the field team relationship and coordinated the activity to ensure our products were everywhere in-store and within Wimbledon village. I also got the opportunity to go to Wimbledon with our customers which was an amazing experience! Contribute to a healthier world Contribute to a healthier world your ROLE PAEDIATRIC FEEDING ADVISOR ROLE: YOU COME INTO REAL ROLES AT DANONE, WITH RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY FROM THE OUTSET: Developing the understanding of Danone brands with healthcare professionals. Developing a business territory plan and managing the territory budget. Identifying and working with key healthcare opinion leaders and healthcare influencers. Working with other functions to contribute to and implement division's strategy. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Securing a place on our Graduate Nutrition programme could see you working at the very hub of nutritional innovation, research, quality and education to guarantee that our products really are the best in class'. You will undertake two placements with our Early Life Nutrition and Advanced Medical Nutrition divisions, in Medical Affairs / Healthcare nutrition Science & Innovation, Medical Marketing / Healthcare Nutrition Channel Strategy and Medical Sales / Healthcare Nutrition Solutions. MEDICAL AFFAIRS IST ROLE: Providing nutritional information and insights to other functions to help develop business planning and brand strategies. Ensuring Danone materials carry accurate and credible nutritional information. Providing nutrition and product training to customer-facing colleagues and external retail partners. Providing scientific substantiation for new claims.

13 WITHIN A FEW WEEKS OF JOINING DANONE I KNEW I HAD MADE THE RIGHT CAREER CHOICE AND TWO YEARS ON I FEEL JUST AS POSITIVE CASE STUDY: KEEPING TRACK It is a great feeling that my job allows me to live and breathe my passions for science and health, whilst making a genuine impact within the business and the wider community. I have been given real responsibility early on, working on nutritional projects which resonate with me and representing products I believe in. Day to day, my role has varied from working with agencies to develop nutritional tools for the public, delivering scientific training to the wider business or collaborating with colleagues worldwide to continuously improve the nutritional standards of our products. We will also screen you on the key application criteria. On top of this, we would love to hear more about your passion for our mission for health and what this means to you, along with your thoughts on why you believe Danone is the right company for you to pursue your career. We want to get to know you better! The next stage in our recruitment process is the video interview. We will be looking for your strengths in communication through 3 questions, designed to understand more about what drives you and your understanding of Danone. RECRUITMENT APPLICATION Eligibility Criteria At least a 2:1 degree classification in any discipline A minimum of 320 UCAS points Eligibility to work in the UK If your application is successful, we will invite you to complete SHL reasoning tests. These consist of a 25-minute numerical test and a 19-minute verbal test. These tests measure your ability to reason with numbers and to draw logical conclusions from written information. We aim to let you know if you have been successful at this stage of the process within seven days of you taking the tests.
