As Information Commissioner, Ms Tydd has the power to review decisions made by other NSW government agencies and deal with complaints about information access, monitor agency functions and report to the Attorney General about proposals for legislative or administrative change. In April 2016, the Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation, the Hon. Victor Dominello MP, invited Ms Tydd to take on the role of NSW Open Data Advocate. Jenny is particularly interested in: expertise and the policy process; policy design; and public sector innovation. She has published widely in international journals, is the author of six books, and has been awarded American, European and Australian research prizes. Jenny spent nearly three years as a professor in Denmark before returning to Australia as an Australian Research Council Future Fellow in She has also worked as a consultant to government. Whilst Konnect Learning is sympathetic to the inevitability of changing circumstances, Konnect Learning incurs costs for each cancelled registration.
