VISIBILITY & IMPACT OF RESEARCH Several parts of the aforementioned funded research have broader social and policy implications. For instance, the research performed on behalf of the EC-DG Enterprise and Industry (see Research Funding No. 5 and No. 11) contributed significantly to the development of new and improved innovation policies ( by focusing on the somewhat neglected aspects of project management and teamwork that take place within collaborative EU R&D projects. The results of this work have been extensively disseminated, including the organization of an international conference with the participation of key policy makers, Member States officials, academics, and business representatives (23-24 October 2007, Berlin). In addition, research work for Athens International Airport (see Research Funding No. 7 and No. 9) has been used as a critical tool for the assessment of the economic value of the airport by the company administration, as well as by government s decision makers ( The reports produced (see Publication No. 27 and No. 30) were also helpful to the local community for evaluating the social (new jobs created) and the environmental impacts of airport s operations. Finally, the work with Athens Urban Transport Organization (see Research Funding No. 14) aimed at introducing performance management practices in public transportation, which resulted to important improvements in the quality of everyday life of the citizens of Athens. In terms of research impact, my journal publications have received more than 150 citations (Google Scholar and Thompson Scientific-ISI)) in management journals such as the Journal of Management, Research Policy, Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, Journal of Technology Transfer, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Business Research, Group & Organization Management, and the European Management Journal.
