3 ABOUT US OVERVIEW Introduction M Construction began as a general works contractor in Over the years, the company has undertaken many challenging projects and accumulated skills, know-how and experiences in design and build solutions, project management services, building trades and related engineering works. Today, M Construction takes on the role of main contractor for small to medium size projects and performs project management services to coordinate specialist trades for commercial projects. We also provide design inputs and engineering solutions as value-add services to our clients. The most important thing in communication is to hear what isn t being said. Our emphasis on clear communication and follow-through procedures ensures that the client s objectives are top priority in the planning and execution of all our processes. Our competent staff form an integral part of our team. Many of them have more than 17 years of experience with M Construction. 8 OUR TEAM Management Team Our business is driven by our two working directors. Collectively they have accumulated more than 50 years of work experience in the building industry. They are involved in the business development, procurement, project management and administration of the company. The management team pro-actively gathers feedback, identifies changes in the business environment, reviews work processes and communicates key learning points and company policy to all staff, regulary at meetings

9 OUR TEAM Our People Our people are crucial in the delivery of our services and solution to our clients. In order to ensure that everyone is equipped with the right skill, knowledge and attitude, a comprehensive training programme is put in place to constantly upgrade their technical and management skills. We firmly believe in providing the right training certification and practical knowledge to our people, in order for them to execute their duties and responsibilities confidently and consistently. Our aim is to stay relevant to the ever changing market place and effectively meet our client s requirement

10 OUR POLICIES Occupational Health and Safety Policy M Construction adheres closely to the act Ref. OHS (85 of 1993). We maintain high standards of safety and care is taken to educate our teams on the hazards of construction. The monitoring of personnel is taken seriously and all efforts are made to keep the working environment safe. All personnel are issued with safety equipment, and should an accident occur, work is stopped immediately, management is informed and the necessary action is taken without any delay. Environmental Policy M Construction subscribe to the philosophy of retaining as much as possible of the natural flora and fauna. Clearance of sites is done with minimum damage to the environment. Where possible the natural flora or fauna is reinstated after completion of work. Management takes the health and safety policy as their participative responsibility along with continued education and awareness being maintained. The working conditions are fair and the health of the work force is always considered in planning and executing a work plan
