2 TH ROYAL BRITISH LGION JOB DSCRIPTION Job Title: Supply Chain Team Leader Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager Role Purpose: To plan, co-ordinate and monitor the daily activities of the warehouse / machine room teams to ensure all site performance measures are being achieved. Key Responsibilities: People/Team Manage all day to day Warehouse Staff, including their training and development, appraisal, performance and monitoring of absence, including sickness and holiday to ensure sufficient staff are available to meet operational demands To communicate and manage the delivery of the daily plan taking appropriate action as and when required to ensure site performance measures are achieved To prepare staff rosters in line with business forecasts To hold regular team meetings To be involved in the recruitment and selection of new staff (including any agency staff) and to ensure full training is provided Maintain accurate training records and where appropriate current licenses for all staff To work to an agreed roster pattern Operations To prepare daily operational plans for the following day(s) activities reviewing warehouse volumes, capacities and resource availability. To prepare and manage the production schedule in line with business forecasts To allocate tasks to staff ensuring clear instructions are provided and staff are aware of their responsibilities/targets To ensure all equipment and machinery is operated in accordance with the manufacturer s guidelines.

3 To support the Supply Planner to carry out Perpetual Inventory counts To plan and manage full site stock take as per Supply Chain Manager requests. To ensure all stock stored in the warehouse is done so safely and securely. To ensure all packaging received from suppliers is as per the agreed specifications, carrying out QA checks as required. To carry out random warehouse audits to check items being despatched are correctly packed in line with customer requirements. To support the Supply Chain Manager with planning stock requirements for the annual Poppy Appeal To liaise with external hauliers/couriers/shipping agents to arrange timely collections and deliveries to customers. Manage the workload of the Driver role and ensure that any major vehicle defects are appropriately actioned. To prepare shift handover reports for the incoming Supply Chain Team Leader To provide the Supply Chain Manager with regular reports of operational progress highlighting any significant issues immediately To maintain a safe, tidy and hygienic warehouse free from rubbish and obstacles Maintain COSSH register Development To continually review processes and procedures identifying any areas for improvement and providing detailed recommendations for change. To support ad hoc Project Work as directed by the Supply Chain Manager Deputise for the Supply Chain Manager or Supply Planner as required This job description reflects the current requirements of the role. As duties and responsibilities change and develop, this will be reviewed and will be subject to amendment in consultation with the post-holder.
