14 Cooperation of Logistics Nodes in the Baltic Sea Region Development Status and meanings of Logistics Nodes verify in the Baltic Sea Region In the RBGC project so called Logistics Pilots aim to harmonize services and define common interoperability between logistics centers in the Rail Baltica region Creation of a stakeholder-partnership model in the context of logistics centers Stakeholder partnership is built between all critical actors from public and private sectors Improved interoperability of logistics centers and intermodal terminals in the Rail Baltica Growth Corridor Cluster create potential for design of new service products within the Region Based on the harmonized and thus more competitive network of logistics centers, joint branding and promotion activities are implemented to related markets in Asia and Europe German Example Deutsche GVZ-Gesellschaft DGG Supports the cooperation of German Freight Villages (GVZ) Target: transfer the positive effects which GVZ generate on local and regional level to the national and European level Typical fields of collaboration: Intermodal transport (new transport chains between GVZ) Implementation of a logistics-oriented service spectrum in GVZ Intensification of GVZ location marketing and harmonisation of service standards Development of sustainable models for development and operation of GVZ The basic motivation for founding DGG in 1993 was the creation of a roof organisation which represents the common interests of GVZ developers DGG functions as a communication platform for exchange of experiences for service structures and development concepts in German and European Freight Villages
