Starting at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (UK), I was involved in a Sports Science programme preparing players to play in the English Premier League, European Champions and Europa Leagues. I am currently Head of Sports Science at Melbourne City Football Club and I work with my colleagues globally within the City Football Group Human Performance team I am currently half way through my PhD with Bath University (UK) aiming to simplify GPS data analysis and increase understanding of modifiable injury risk factors in Dr David Hughes is Chief Medical Officer at the AIS in Canberra. Dr Hughes has worked as a sports physician in a range of high performance competitions including Super Rugby, National Rugby League, English Premier League Football, English Premiership Rugby and International Women's Basketball. He is currently involved in research relating to the use of iron supplements in sport, the genetics of bone and tendon injury and concussion. Dr Hughes is also Medical Director for the Australian Olympic Team for Rio If we want to do preventive health and personalized medicine, we'll need to put health sensors on people. The first generation of wearables for health have focused on the wrist, however, there's a limit on what you can track from there. The next logical step is to embed health sensors in the most natural form factor for wearables: clothing. Smart clothing will change the way we see our health, and will provide us the information we need to change the way medicine is 5
