2 introduction Britain s Energy Coast Business Cluster (BECBC) was founded in 2004 and has over 290 members drawn from across the broad spectrum of organisations working on Britain s Energy Coast in Cumbria. Together we are working to maintain and develop the successful economic regeneration of the area. Our core activities include: Pooling our collective business knowledge Sharing opportunities and information Educating the local and wider business community about our individual and collective capabilities Advocating the value of business and lobbying external stakeholders Advising, assisting and supporting member organisations Identifying training, skills transfer requirements and opportunities Promoting training and employment opportunities in the local community The Business Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the best of our membership, meeting those aims of sharing and educating, advocating and promoting in the process. business awards the becbc 2016 event Each year, Britain s Energy Coast Business Cluster focuses its activity on a core event and this has two strands: a conference and our awards, running in alternate years. n-eboc15, our Nuclear Energy Business Opportunities Conference last year, provided an amazing range of opportunities for BECBC member companies and others to meet, network, debate and explore the potential for new projects, innovations, business growth, partnerships and commerce. This year, that same effort and investment of resources will be focused on celebrating the best of the area s businesses through BECBC Business Awards We have built on the success of the previous awards to focus on a range of key issues for our member businesses and to provide clear criteria that, we hope, can be applied to organisations of all sizes and at all stages of development as well as being involved in different aspects of the broad energy supply chain in our region. 3 event sponsorship The Britain s Energy Coast Business Cluster Business Awards Dinner is a non-profit-making event. However to provide such a celebration we rely on the support of members and key organisations within Britain s Energy Coast to provide support via sponsorship. We have prepared a number of sponsorship opportunity packages that are intended to enable all businesses to join in the celebration of business excellence in the area. Therefore, we have subsidised the price of individual dinner seat tickets for 2016 to encourage our SME members to join the celebrations too. sponsorship bookings general info All bookings are sold on a first come first served basis and must be made on the booking form overleaf. Early booking is essential to avoid disappointment. All sponsorship and ticket costs exclude VAT, which will be charged. All bookings will be acknowledged and confirmed. If your first choice is not available, alternatives will be offered. An advertising artwork specification sheet will be sent out with booking invoice and confirmation.
