2 REPORT ALUCAST - A GRAND SUCCESS ALUCAST - the biennial International Conference and Exhibition on Die Casting Technology concluded its proceedings on 3rd December,. Organized by Aluminium Casters Association of India (Alucast) and produced by NürnbergMesse India, the exhibition cum conference held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre attracted a record number of Exhibitors, Visitors and Delegates, surpassing the figures of 2014 event by over 40%. Out of the 150 brands on display, 25% of the participation was international from countries including Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Taiwan, Italy and China. A notable feature was the CHINA PAVILION under which companies dealing in design and manufacture of Dies, Die Casting machines, Machine accessories and PDC Castings for auto parts displayed their products. The three day exhibition cum conference attracted over 3000 visitors. The Theme for the Event was: Challenges Ahead for Aluminium Die Casters. The 17 papers presented during the conference were attended by 200+ delegates. ALUCAST 2018 will take place from the 6th-8th December, 2018 at IEML, Noida, NCR. 6 ALUCAST FOUNDRY AWARDS REPORT Jaya Hind Industries, Pune, Best Foundry (Large Scale) Castall Technologies, Hyderabad, Best Foundry (Medium Scale) Alubee Die casters, Hosur, Best Foundry (Small Scale) Award of Appreciation was given to Aakar Foundry, Pune, for special efforts by Small Scale unit. SPECIAL RECOGNITION BEST DIE-CASTING AWARD Mr. RAR Prasad, Technical Advisor, ALUCAST who has been associated with the association and event from the start was honored for his contribution and commitment and was presented with a Memento by Mr. Prasan Firodia, President, ALUCAST. On the last day of the event the Best Die Casting awards were announced : a new feature which drew an overwhelming response from the visitors. IBEX Industries, Bangalore won the award for the best casting and JayaHind Industries, Pune won the award for second best casting.
