2 Job description Job title: Global Operations Manager Division: Marketing Date: August 2015 Reporting to: Main contacts: Global Development Manager Internal: All AAT departments xternal: AATSA, All existing and potential training providers, International Accountancy bodies, Government and funding agencies Major objectives To contribute to the achievement of AAT s business plan objectives and the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation by: To support the growth of AAT by ensuring that all AAT operations support our international customers. The role would be focussed on o International joint ventures and agreements o xisting and new training providers o Qualifications o Communications to international audiences Responsibilities International joint ventures and agreements Manage all existing international agreements to maximise the opportunity and to ensure AAT complies with the agreements Account manage AATSA and all joint ventures (eg in Botswana and Swaziland) to maximise revenue and secure growth Support the Global team in setting up future international agreements xisting and new Training Providers Work collaboratively with internal teams (eg Centre Support and Conduct & Compliance) to continuously improve support to international training providers Implement a fully integrated support plan for all new international training providers and regularly monitor their effectiveness Manage the withdrawal of training providers in each country and actively suggest ways in which to reduce these Support those training providers who may be at risk of withdrawing from AAT by providing consistent advice and guidance at each stage of the process Monitor the quality and growth potential for all international training providers, acting on any opportunities for improvement

3 Qualifications Work collaboratively with & T to manage the accreditation of all AAT qualifications in international markets Be responsible for the relevance of AAT qualifications in international markets, making innovative recommendations for adapting units and versions of the qualifications where appropriate. Work closely with the Global team to establish ways in which to increase revenue from all qualifications Communications Work with internal teams to ensure processes and communications are relevant and appropriate for international audiences Work with internal teams establish methods which will increase progression rates to maximise revenue from existing markets Work with internal teams to reduce student lapsing, including monitoring the reasons for this and making suggestions for improvements. Work with internal teams on managing effective communications to students across all AAT s qualifications. Raise the profile and understanding of the work of the Global team, including identification and acting on the needs of International customers Accountability Provide regular insight reports on activity and progress to identify trends and recommend any actions based on the findings Customer centricity Develop friendly, positive and supportive relationships with external and internal customers, and to provide them with excellent service. Actively to learn from customer feedback, comments and suggestions, including complaints, to review and improve existing processes, and by doing so to anticipate other customers needs. To communicate this knowledge to relevant colleagues. Meet and exceed teams customer service standards. Understand situations from the customers perspective so that appropriate and relevant solutions can be identified. Corporate social responsibility Apply the principles of the CSR policy in your daily role, particularly reduce-reuse-recycle. Adhere to AAT s responsible business practices, such as high standards of governance, raising employment standards for employees and forming trade and community partnerships with appropriate organisations.
