2 Background The Beiersdorf Group has a rich history in the global health, personal & skin care industries. With its Head Office situated in Hamburg, Germany, it is an international company with over 150 affiliates worldwide, specialising in skin-care, personal-care products, pressure-sensitive adhesives, activity support, tapes and treatment of muscular pain. The Australian operations began in 1934, and compete across various branded goods categories including skincare, sports medicine and wound care. They are well known for their brands including; NIVEA, Elastoplast, Elastoplast Sport and Leuko. With a newly established subsidiary, Beiersdorf Health Care (BHC), and the appointment of a new MD in Australia, there is a unique opportunity to refocus on its Health Care credentials in its ANZ operations as well as provide leadership within the group on a global level In 1977 the Australian operation became one of the pioneers in sports medicine, developing sports medicine products and injury prevention management practices in the Australia and New Zealand markets. In 2018 the Healthcare business intends to re-create a dedicated Sport s division to focus exclusively on its Sports properties; Elastoplast Sport and Leuko with the intention to once again pioneer the future of sports medicine in this country and beyond!.bhc Australia already enjoys significant revenues; currently circa $40m revenues, with circa $8m from the sports division. BHC Australia has been identified as an important strategic pillar for the group, with an unapologetic focus on revenue growth. The new Sports division will launch in January 2018 and Global Head Office is looking at the Australian business to pilot the growth opportunities that can come from more dedicated investment into its brands, where it exists today in ANZ as well as explore and lead the expansion in other international markets. Therefore with the creation of this dedicated division, BHC Australia is looking for a Commercial and Strategic GM to lead the new division.

3 Job Profile Elastoplast Sport and Leuko are the market leader in their product suite and the Professional Sport division will lead the relationship with all major sports and clubs/teams from Elite, Country and Metro all the way down to the Weekend Warriors ; who are the foundation of the business. The role will be the operational and strategic lead for the Sports & Professionals division. Key Responsibilities will include Contribute as a member of the BHC Australia senior management team to deliver its strategic business objectives Develop the Professional Sports Strategy for both the domestic ANZ business and global expansion into international markets Continuing to drive the ANZ sales, ensuring strong ROI across existing clubs, wholesalers and practitioners Identify new business opportunities Establish & manage the distribution channels for domestic and export sales, with (where applicable)the support of affiliates Product & category portfolio management including Leading insight driven innovation in collaboration with the global teams (eg. R&D, Procurement, Regulatory) Collaborate with the global Health Care Consumer Sports teams to leverage synergies Establishing sponsorships and associations that are pro-actively serviced to create assets for: Marketing and comm s enabling a cascading effect to local consumer / mass business Driving sales Establish a framework for BHC to play an industry leading role in sports medicine practices and product education

4 Job Profile ANZ is a marketplace in which they have a long-established business and a strong footprint. In creating a dedicated business unit with a global leadership mandate, the group are aiming to understand the scale of the opportunity for international market expansion. The role will explore and identify the new possibilities, create a blue print and lead the implementation of each new market entry, leveraging the extensive history and experience gained in the ANZ markets and utilizing where possible group synergies The role will then help identify new possibilities in potential international markets and create a blue print for market entry. The organisation has existing major partnerships with the NRL, AFL, Super Rugby, Netball Australia as well as the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and Sports Medicine Australia. It has also recently signed a major agreement with the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games The Games partnership is planned to re-launch the Elastoplast brand and its positioning which will provide the perfect platform for the new dedicated sports division to announce its arrival. This role will ensure these partnerships are maximised while driving the agreement of new opportunities across all major sports. The Candidate The successful candidate will have a Sales & Commercial pedigree of the highest calibre. They will bring significant experience in the sport industry, and demonstrate a track record in sales and negotiations, with experience of opening new markets (ideally across APAC), combined with a sound understanding of marketing and building brands. It is critical they have a network across Governing Bodies & Professional Clubs/Teams. They will have a good sense of sporting goods, apparel or consumer goods business in Australia and beyond. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a strong understanding of the consumer (ie. Professional Athletes and Professional Practitioners), and have a thorough understanding of product development. As a strategic head of the business they will be an all-rounder, with a comprehensive knowledge of the distribution channels, logistics and 3rd party manufacturing. This is a high-level and strategic role in what is a greenfield site, so it is important the candidate can maintain a clear idea of long-term strategy, but also recognise they will be required to roll up their sleeves in delivery. The person must be a proven leader and motivator, who can get the best out of teams. It is important that the successful candidate is highly commercial and has strong business acumen for identifying and capitalising on new opportunities and revenue streams. The candidate will bring strong leadership and influencing skills in order to successfully collaborate with affiliates and global teams.

5 Skills & Experience Degree of higher qualification/s and demonstrated senior level experience in Sales/Commercial or a related field. Strategic Account Development experience, with a proven record in securing new business, and growing existing commercial agreements. Deep knowledge of sporting goods industry. Start-up or entrepreneurial experience in a small-growth enterprise or internal corporate start-up, with significant sales growth. Exceptional communications skills including negotiating and influencing, and a proven ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Demonstrated high level experience in financial management, budgeting and reporting. Understanding of manufacturing/supply chain process. Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating highly performing teams. Understand basic sports injury and prevention principles, how Beiersdorf products are being applied. Existing relationships with governing bodies/leagues across Australia is advantageous. Previous experience in developing and implementing consumer focused brand strategies and marketing campaigns.
