3 ABOUT PORT ELIZABETH WELCOME TO PORT ELIZABETH Situated in the Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth is the hub of South Africa s wool and mohair industry. The main wool exporting port, Port Elizabeth is home to the country s wool broker and trading houses; South Africa s primary processors, Cape of Good Hope Woolcombers (Segard Masurel) and Gubb & Inggs (The Stucken Group), are in nearby Uitenhage. The Eastern Cape delivered 35% of the South African wool clip in the 2016/17 season, making it South Africa s largest wool-producing region. Wool sales have been centralised and take place in Port Elizabeth at the South African Wool and Mohair Exchange in Grahamstown Road. Nicknamed the friendly city, Port Elizabeth offers beautiful beaches and a 5 kmlong beachfront promenade. The well-known Addo Elephant National Park, now home to about 600 elephants and a host of other wildlife, is a short drive away. 3

Open to all IWTO members, the Wool Round Table is an excellent opportunity to participate in the industry and to network with other professionals from all parts of the supply chain. 12 TERMS & CONDITIONS Sponsorship packages are designed with flexibility in mind and to help you achieve your objectives. They can be shared or exclusive. To reserve a package, simply complete the sponsorship form that accompanies this prospectus. Then, send us the completed form along with your logo and payment. A tax invoice will be issued once payment has been received. IWTO reserves the right to reject sponsorship proposals at any time. Under article 44 of the EU Directive 2006/112/EC, VAT is applied according to the rates of the country where the event is held. 13
