Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Miami Valley serves youth who are at-risk for falling off track. Most of our kids live in single parent households, live below the federal poverty line, have experienced trauma related to violence, and are behind grade level in reading or math. One-to-one mentoring provides individualized support kids need to succeed. When mentors spend just one hour per week with their little, we are transforming the Greater Miami Valley and strengthening families, one child at a time. Help us end the wait for 65 boys and girls ages 6 18 this year. Funds raised go directly toward matching children with carefully screened, committed Big Brothers and Big Sisters; professional case management and support by specially trained staff; ongoing training for volunteers and parent engagement activities. 2
