Cumulative disbursement for GEF TF is 38% and US$7.1m (out of 9.8m GEF fund) has been committed. A significant progress has been made with respect to compensation and resettlement of project affected households (PAHs), with about 96% of the PAHs having cleared the land for constructions (from 64% in September 2014). Nevertheless, there still are 32 PAHs to be compensated and resettled, whose cases are most difficult to deal with. The PMU and the City, with cooperation with all concerned Districts, have committed to complete all compensation and resettlement activities by the end of June, Civil works for the Ring Road component have generally been progressing well despite delays due to the pending resettlement of the remaining households. Provided that all sites are cleared by the end of June, the PMU will aim to complete all civil works by October, 2015, except Buoi Interchange, which will be completed by June 30, 2016 For the BRT component, eight civil work contracts for a total value of US$13.62 million are progressing well, with both terminals (Kim Ma and Yen Nghia) and 5 stations of the total 19 completed, and another 10 being constructed. The two largest contracts under the BRT component are expected to be signed by September, Page 2 of 8
