5 Cerner s Translation Team The Global Translation Team performs software localization and translates all documentation needed for creating, maintaining or expanding Cerner business overseas.

6 Where Are We Located? 22 Native speakers of French, German, Spanish, and English Located in Kansas City, Dublin, Paris, and Idstein

7 Team s Goals Release translated and validated software at General Availability (GA). Release labeling documentation (Help Files, Reference Materials) at GA. Provide high quality translations that are delivered on-time for all of Cerner s needs, while controlling the cost.

9 Documentation Process and Tools Next Content is written in ucern (wiki format) Translation is entered in TMS (Tool) (inhouse or outsource workflow) Translation is carried out in SDLX (Tool) Content is downloaded using Translation Dashboard (Tool) Team Lead processes the request (assigns inhouse or outsources) Translation is uploaded into TMS and file is generated Translation Process is Complete Translation request is entered in Request Manager (Tool) Automatic is sent to monitored inbox Translation is completed in Request Manager (Tool) Content is uploaded into ucern using the Translation Dashboard (Tool)

15 Software Process and Tools Strings are gathered (C#, VC, C++, JAVA, JS and VB) Translation is entered in TMS (Tool) (in-house or outsource workflow) Translation is carried out in SDLX (Tool) Terminology changes are made in TM if necessary Passolo projects are created (Tool) Team Lead processes the request (assigns inhouse or outsources) Translation is uploaded into TMS and file is generated i18n defects are reported back to engineering in Navigator (Tool) Previous translations are leveraged through Passolo (we wrote macros) Automatic is sent to monitored inbox Translation completed using Request Manager (tool) Translations are edited as needed in Passolo (Tool) Unknown strings are exported using Passolo Translation request is entered in Request Manager (Tool) Passolo project is updated with translations Software is validated using test plans written by engineering
