3 About us Hello, my name is Roger and I own Premier Basements, an exciting and vibrant basement construction company full of innovation. Premier Basements recently featured on Channel 4 to complete a stunning basement conversion in an incredibly tight time frame for Sarah Beeny s programme Double Your House for Half the Money. Based in Staines, we work from concept to construction with a team of over 100 focused on providing an unrivalled customer service using only the best materials. With our expertise we convert, construct and excavate basements for a variety of uses including gyms, offices, swimming pools, extended living space and underground garages. We aim to redesign space to suit your budget and lifestyle offering an entirely in-house service; including lighting design to ensure a functional and elegant end result tailored to the needs and taste of our customers.

With our expertise in basement construction we work towards creating space designed around your vision. Design We aim to redesign your space to suit your vision and needs, using our in-house architect and structural engineer we can construct a basement for multiple purposes including extended living space, swimming pools and gyms. Architecture Using our in-house architect we focus on providing expert design advice and design solutions to create a tailored bespoke basement. and focus on walking you through the entire process from design to build. Structural With our in-house structural engineer we provide reliable, and cost effective design solutions in a timely manner to fulfil the needs of our clients using CADs for visual aid for our clients. Health & Safety At Premier Basements we have a Health & Safety Manager whose priority is ensuring all procedures are in place on every site to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved in the process of basement construction. Customer Service We have a team of people including a project manager that is focused on making the process of constructing your basement easy providing practical support along the way.

5 BUILDING YOUR DREAM BASEMENT Fortunatley, planning permission is almost always granted since the basement project does not change the exterior appearance of the property above pavement level. At Premier Basements, we raise the appropraite legal documentation for you and based on our proven experience, we can advise you on the best way to approach your neighbours. We will even visit your neighbours with you to explain the works to them to help put their minds at rest. Waterproofing falls into 2 main areas: cementitious tanking and cavity drain membrane system. We can also underpin the basement conversion where more headroom is required and we have a thorough experience in all underpinning scenarios. Premier Basements insurance classification is foundation and underpinning contractor.

6 As Seen on Channel 4 s Double Your House for Half the Money We were approached by Redhouse Television who had been commissioned by Channel 4 to make a brand new series with Sarah Beeny called Double Your House for Half the Money. A basement, which we had already been contracted to work on, fitted the bill perfectly and the smashing owners Rob and Beth Ellis were up for it. The existing basement was dark, wet and dingy with very little natural light and headroom. Furthermore, the site access was daunting, the property was a Victorian terrace sitting high on a bank with no parking on the main road outside. We had to underpin the walls and lower the floor, create two separate rooms and a shower room with a rear room simply by reopening the blocked up coal chute for a means of escape and reopening what appeared to be a blocked up door to the front. Sarah Beeny arrived with a head full of ideas and suggestions. Her ideas were excellent and practical involving innovative ways to gain more natural lighting by rearranging and moving the kitchen and rooms upstairs. We installed mirror shaft natural daylight system which was fitted alongside innovative LED wall wash lighting. This was all great until we were told that the original time frame had been cut from 8-6 weeks and this was to fully complete the basement including all decoration, flooring, shower room and moving the kitchen upstairs. It was already a tight schedule and with the plan changes and complications and 2 weeks less to complete the project, the task seemed impossible. Would I do it again? Maybe after a few glasses of wine. However, the benefits of this project were creating 2 superb basement bedrooms and a shower room with additional living space upstairs along with the friends we made along the way including the production crew.

7 WE USE LIGHTING SPECIALISTS TO CREATE BESPOKE LIGHTING DESIGN THE MOOD YOU WISH TO CREATE At Premier Basements we work with our inhouse lighting specialists to create a bespoke lighting suited to your basement. There are many ways to light a basement whether you would like to flood the basement with natural light from lightwells, sunlight tubes or mirror shafts or you want to adopt a more artifical lighting using LED spotlights to create a crisp white light.
