2 GENERAL PRESENTATION I THE COMPANY EXTENZO, the removable stretch ceiling developed in Alsace over 35 years ago by Philippe Ruhlmann, and protected by several successive patents. Major pillar in the Stretch Ceiling industry, Philippe RUHLMANN is a founding member of: - the SNAFAPT (National Union of Stretch Ceiling Manufacturers) - the National Charter of Stretch Ceilings Active participant in the creation and development of the European Standard for Stretch Ceilings NF EN and the implementing regulation NF DTU 58.2 It is at the instigation of its current director, Jean-Philippe Ruhlmann, that EXTENZO expanded internationally and asserted new values notably in favour of sustainable development. 3 GENERAL PRESENTATION I THE COMPANY The first cold stretched ceiling, made of washable fabric, was manufactured in 1977; the start of a long line of innovations. In 1993, the establishment of EXTENZO in Germany marked the company s first steps in international business. Today, EXTENZO operates in over 50 countries.
