Fr the next meeting, Caltrans has ffered the use f their cnference rm fr this meeting. 2) Apprved September 13, 2012 Minutes (Cmmittee) Make mdificatin t the September 13, 2012 minutes, Item 3c, bullet 5 t read: Caltrans distributed this internally (nt via Internet) Minutes f September 13, 2012 meeting were apprved with the abve mdificatin. Apprved Nvember 8, 2012 Minutes (Cmmittee) Minutes f Nvember 8, 2012 meeting were apprved. 3) Received RIITS System Changes Reprt (Kali Fgel/Carle Cleary fr Glenn Murphy) N system changes were made since the last reprt. There are a few planned changes Currently lking int switching the vide server snapshts (frm rtssnap06) t the Caltrans vide server. This will prvide better quality vide as well as better netwrk security. The JPEG images will be available t the rtsads01 server thrugh the Caltrans firewall. The current snapsht server will be decmmissined. The CHP back feed (placing CHP events int the ATMS) is causing instability. RIITS is wrking t get this up and running. There are a few pssible changes Adding Express Lanes data: Express Lanes has vlume/ccupancy/speed data fr their statins. The statins are at entry/exit pints. The data will be sent t Caltrans t include int the ATMS, which will then frward t RIITS. Prt f LA wants t share their data. Fiber upgrade is being cmpleted in the prt s cmplex which will help Lng Beach als. This will als allw access t streaming vide. Hw d we get the data back t RIITS? Prt f LA has taken 2

3 n the task t lk int getting vide t RIITS (perhaps thrugh the City f LA). 4) Received RIITS Prject Status (Kali Fgel/Carle Cleary fr Glenn Murphy) a) LADOT/METRO BRT Interface Cmpleted the TPS interface Gerge lked int the prblem that was ccurring regarding the TPS buses. He fund a prblem that the buses were appearing twice in LADOT s system. This is nt happening anymre. Delcan need t retest t see if the prblem still ccurs within RIITS. Metr s BSP interface was develped and sme testing was dne, but the BSP server was mved t the Iteris ffice. Glenn t give Kali cntact infrmatin fr Iteris. b) Setup Dev/Test Envirnment Metr has access t Dev/Test envirnment c) Maintenance The transit database has been upgraded frm Oracle 8i t Oracle 11g. Delcan is wrking with Cecelia t pull data frm the new server. The ld transit database (TDB) is n lnger sending data t RIITS, s currently there is n Metr Bus/Rail data n RIITS. This interface will be temprarily restred until the interface t the new TDB can be implemented. Lng Beach Transit data nt accessible t RIITS. There is a VPN issue. Delcan t cntinue t cntact Lng Beach Transit t remedy. Hyperic (system mnitring tl) license is required t be renewed in the next mnth. 5) Received update n ADMS (Dr. Jia) Phase A is cmplete. Dcumentatin is ready t be distributed. Kali t distribute dcuments by next Friday. Carle will send ut t RIITS CMC distributin list. There are tw applicatins that are using the ADMS. One is an applicatin which des reginal mnitring f the suthern Califrnia regin. Anther is a Befre/After study f the I-10 Crridr. 6) Received update n Time Warner Agreement (Kali Fgel) Cntract is still nt signed, but Kali was able t get a hld f them. They had a change in management. Kali t set a timeframe fr cntract signing. 7) Apprved/Disapprve Agency/ISP Applicatins (Cmmittee) The fllwing applicatins were reviewed: Access fr Tm-Tm (Harriet Chen-Pyle) t RIITS ISP data apprved. Agreement has been in wrk since February. 3

4 Access fr Xerx (Rakesh Kulkarni - prduct research arm) t RIITS ISP data apprved. RIITS shuld d a market survey every 12 mnths t see what they are ding with the data. Access fr Xerx (Andrew Scaljn) t RIITS Agency map access apprved. Access fr USC Infrmatin Services (Jennifer Chen) t RIITS ISP data nt apprved. Applicant may already be able t btain access thrugh USC r thrugh the LA Prt Plice access. Nt respnding t requests fr mre infrmatin. Kali t cntact with 30 day ntice. Applicatin will be null and vid if n respnse within 30 days. N N N Access fr Asterid Data Science (Evan Friis) t RIITS ISP data nt apprved. Nt respnding t requests fr mre infrmatin. N N N When an applicatin is received, Kali will start the agreement prcess, as well as get apprval frm the vting members in parallel. Official vte fr recrding in minutes will take place at the next scheduled CMC meeting. 8) Received Reprts f Other Items Several cntracts are cming up fr RIITS t share transprtatin infrmatin. Will use reginal architecture t further define what RIITS rle is. The previus fcus was that RIITS was the single pint f cntact fr the data in the regin. New fcus will be t share the infrastructure, nt just the data. Will be spending mney n infrastructure t better enable the sharing f data: Netwrk infrastructure: an infrastructure maintenance cmpany will take wnership f the fiber and infrastructure. RIITS will maintain the infrastructure. Systems: a systems cmpany will take wnership f the hardware/servers. 4

5 Applicatins: use RIITS t create a data envirnment which will be public. Give data t 511. Add 511 status t RIITS CMC meeting agendas with Cathy Rsas as presenter.
