3 ELECTRICAL ITEMS 8 OVERV IEW Electrical items have different dcumentatin requirements fr each unit f measure (UOM). All electrical items must be cunted and measured. Dcumentatin examples fr a few selected electrical items are illustrated in this chapter. Sme minr mdificatins may be required t shw the unusual circumstances that may ccur with different items, but the general frmat shuld be fllwed. If there are items which cannt be dcumented accrding t the fllwing examples, cntact the Cnstructin Admin Services Sectin fr assistance. INSPECTOR S RESPONSIBILITIES ELECTRICAL ITEMS Use the Agreement Estimate Reprt (AEB) as a reference t ensure that items and quantities are paid in the crrect categry. Use the Structure List (Figure 8-1), lcated in the Cntract plans, t help identify items, quantities, descriptins and lcatins. ALL electrical item phts t the Office Engineer. Use the naming cnventin: IDR year-mnth-day Inspectrs Initials, (e.g. IDR KMM) in the Subject line. The bdy f the must cntain a detailed descriptin and lcatin/statin f the pht(s). Turn in ALL electrical item calculatin sheets t the Office Engineer. INSPECTOR DAILY REPORT (IDR) MOBILE INSPECTOR 1. Create an IDR in Mbile Inspectr daily t dcument the activity being mnitred. Refer t the Mbile Inspectr User Guide fr details n using this applicatin. Attentin Flag Use t bring attentin t RE and Office Engineer fr verruns and plan errrs. Remarks Must shw calculatins when apprpriate, refer t Calculatin Sheet when apprpriate (refer t Appendix B, Calculatin Frmulas, in this manual fr a Calculatin Sheet example), ther infrmatin relevant t item psting, and explanatins when Attentin Flag is checked. Identify ples, cnduit runs and pull bxes. NOTES fr Electrical item pstings: If there are questins n whether an EACH item can be listed separately r cmbined, cntact the Cnstructin Admin Services Sectin fr assistance. All electrical items require an actual lcatin r a statin as nted in the cntract plan. Refer t Figures 8-3 thrugh 8-5 fr examples f electrical item pstings with different UOM. NOTE: When a Mbile Inspectr IDR is cmpleted and lcked, the infrmatin is upladed int a FieldManager IDR, where it is reviewed and generated fr prcessing prgress payments. OFFICE ENGINEER S RESPONSIBILITIES ELECTRICAL ITEMS Cllect all Material Certificatins. Scan and save them t the EDOC Cntract Files\Material and Testing Files\Divisin N. 4 Materials Divisin Certs and Test Reprts\4.? Send riginal certificatins t the Materials Divisin fr apprval. Save s cntaining electrical item phts in the apprpriate EDOC Cntract Files\Cntract Files\Divisin N. 3 - Multimedia Recrds\3.? Phtgraphs with Descriptins directry. Review electrical item calculatin sheets fr accuracy and save electrnically in the apprpriate EDOC Cntract Files\Cntract Files\Divisin N. 7 - Cnstructin Pay Estimate and Related Data\7.? IDR Calculatin Sheets directry using this naming cnventin: IDR year-mnth-day Inspectrs Initials, (e.g. IDR KMM). Apprve materials in FieldManager when the apprved material certificatins are received frm the Materials Divisin. Refer t Chapter 6, Wrking with Materials, in the FieldManager User Guide, fr details. Distribute executed cpies f cntract mdificatins t Inspectrs. INSPECTOR DAILY REPORT (IDR) FIELDMANAGER When a Mbile Inspectr IDR is lcked by an Inspectr, the infrmatin is upladed int a FieldManager IDR. Refer t Chapter 7, Inspectr Daily Reprt, in the FieldManager User Guide fr details. 1. Smetimes there is a curve r an bstacle that will affect the distance. Always check with the Inspectr befre assuming the calculatins are incrrect. 2. Generate the IDR.
