2 Day 1-3 : Visit of Intersolar Trade Fair World s Largest Solar Fair Intersolar, the world s largest Solar Photovoltaic and Thermal fair-this year with a total of 1909 exhibitors from 49 countries and approximately 80,000 visitors. Attending presentations, guided exhibition tours, workshops, seminars, approaching future partners, match-makings A special welcome by Trade Fair organizers and German Ambassador to Malaysia H. E. Guenter Grüber

3 Day 2 : Visit of Ganser Entsorgung (Municipal Waste to Energy) & Schletter Beergardenfest Ganser Entsorgung is a qualified disposal company, where different substrates will be built from garden compost and food waste. Only 5 employees handling 26,000 tons a year in 3 shifts 365 days! Every year Schletter GmbH is organizing the Beergardenfest where their customers and business partners can chat and meet in a relaxed an unforgettable atmosphere. The employees, in traditional dresses, will serve their clients!

4 Day 3: Visit to Donauer Solartechnik, Gilching Donauer Solartechnik Vertriebs GmbH is a leading German specialist distributor of solar products and stands for high quality solar technology, from solar components to complete installations. Their portable power solution found special interest of the delegates.

5 Day 4 & Day 5 (weekend) : Visit of Germany s highest mountain the Zugspitze Zugspitze is the highest German mountain, with an altitude of close to 3,000 meters. The mountain railway is going up to the top where one can visit a famous solar power plant at the top of the mountain station. The delegates had to walk as well to earn the afternoon cake. Baden-Baden is an international and exclusive thermal spa resort, which is located at the foothills of the Black Forest in the southwestern part of Germany, is famous for its wine and recreational baths.

6 Day 6 : Freiburg : The benchmark Green City Eco housing, car-free streets, the leading solar research institute and socially conscious neighbors have made the city of Freiburg a shining example of sustainability. Freiburg's energy policy has three pillars: energy conservation, the use of new technologies such as combined heat and power, and the use of renewable energy sources such as solar to meet new demand, instead of fossil fuels, with the goal of realizing an ecologically-oriented energy supply. Residents are informed about the air quality level in their town on public display boards which contains detailed information such as air pollution, CO2 emission levels etc With the car sharing concept, many users share the usage of cars on an hourly (Why buying a car expensively if you use it 1-2 hours a day and if a liter of petrol costs nearly 7RM!) or daily basis with no ownership. All that is required is the pre-registration for the required timing over the internet.

7 Day 6: Attending 3 Specific Training/Coaching Modules in Freiburg The group split and attended specific Coaching/Training modules for 1 day: Sustainable Township and Green architecture PV-Installation Biogas and Biomass in rural areas

8 Day 7: Visit of Fraunhofer Institute and Matchmaking at IHK Freiburg With a staff of above 1100, Fraunhofer ISE is the largest solar energy research institute in Europe. The Institute plans, advises and provides know-how and technical facilities and services Individual Business Meetings were conducted with potential business partners where initial contracts were laid. The search profiles were the basis for finding suitable partners in respective products fields

9 Day 8: Visit Bosch Solar and Binowa GmbH BINOWA specializes in international markets in the industrial process engineering, supply and install turnkey biogas plants as well as components and services for wastewater treatment plants Bosch Solar Energy AG is a German wafer and solar cell manufacturer, based in Erfurt, which is specialized in silicon-based photovoltaic products. The company is coming with a large investment into Malaysia.

10 Day 9: Visit and Presentations at the Malaysian Embassy in Berlin What a great trip! After the German Ambassador welcomed the delegates in Munich, the Malaysian Ambassador hosted the group in his Berlin Embassy just before departing to the airport.

11 Greentech Delegation to Germany And during the 9 days we became a great big family we finished all good German food ;)) The famous black forest cake in the kampung it comes from What a taste! We enjoyed at normal times the EU-soccer Championships (Germany just had won all games during our stay)...and of course we did not miss the German Beer;)).. Yummy!!! Yummy!!! tasted tons of available summer fruit and veggies...strawberries, cherries + white asparagus.
