5 Kingston University Education For the future Traditionally, we are active within the further education sector where we are either Framework or Approved contractors for many of London s premier universities. Our understanding and working knowledge across a wide range of university campus buildings has developed our teams to anticipate and plan for the unexpected. Often constricted sites with challenging logistical aspects where optimum solutions are required. However, we also cater for those initially entering education with some of our nursery or infant/primary school construction projects. 8 Camden Mortuary Commercial Buildings Although our construction projects are predominately public sector works, we have many private sector clients. Some are closely associated, for example private schools and children s nurseries, whilst others provide exciting opportunities for different types of project....we have focussed on emerging technologies and resourced our organisation to meet future specialist construction requirements... Privately funded, these schemes can often be commercially challenging as well. With entrepreneurial focus and resource there can be phased completion or other time dependant elements that would not be present on a more conventional build. 9 Public Buildings With an established penchant for undertaking works within occupied environments, it s only natural that some of those should be in public buildings. These range from public libraries to public mortuaries with a whole host of diverse public uses in between. In our experience, if it s a public building the public want access, so unless the building is closed for the duration, the public will try and view construction works. We are adept with ensuring the health and safety of visitors during the works by strict segregation; however we acknowledge that by providing informative project details we can assist the public. We believe that we are well placed to consider selective residential projects where our internal skillset and specialist supply chain can add value to a client s proposals.
