Mostly closed loop controllers are used within the Process Technology to control pressure, level, flow, temperature

ITCA-FEPADE offers companies to qualify their own Technicians and Engineers. It works with the Dual System, which is of high reputation in Germany, it s neighboring countries and many other places in the world. It consists in combining vocational formation in an academic institute with on-the-job learning in an enterprise.

In El Salvador, the Dual System was implemented under advisory of German Technical Cooperation (GTZ/CIM). In 2008, the first cohort started with 40 students in 22 companies. One of the most important aims of this model is reaching that each company can train its own labor force according to its necessities with a accredited plan. This closes the gap between the educational sector and the productive sector that until now existed.

The students stay two months in ITCA-FEPADE and then one month in the company. After two and a half years, they graduate as technicians. If their results are good and the companies agree, they can continue and graduate as Engineers within four years.
