1 DFA is a leading milk marketing cooperative and dairy food processor in the United States, with a variety of manufacturing plant and office locations spread throughout the nation. 2 FMIC Management Trainee Program Purpose: Our Management Trainee Program is intended to provide hands-on work experiences to new college graduates to prepare them for future management positions in manufacturing. Delivering a work environment that offers ongoing development opportunities will help up and coming leaders get the experience they need, and supports our effort to build a pipeline of talent for the Fluid Milk and Ice Cream Division of Dairy Farmers of America. It s a win: win; for the new graduate and the company. Program Overview: Management Trainees will work cross-functionally in a collaborative team environment, and participate in a month rotational program. They will gain the skills, knowledge, and exposure necessary to advance their career through this unique opportunity. Located in one of several manufacturing facilities, we will provide them the opportunity to develop essential leadership skills, learn how the entire facility operates, and gain an understanding of how each area impacts the others. Management Trainees will gain experience in all facets of manufacturing including milk receiving, processing, filling, cooler, and distribution. This rotational program will provide an exhaustive understanding of the entire business and a strong perspective of how everything works together while providing an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with colleagues and employees at all levels in the organization. The intent of the rotational program is to ensure we provide a well-rounded experience that offers a fast track to management on the manufacturing and distribution side of our business. In addition to manufacturing and distribution management trainees will have exposure to support functions such as Safety, Quality Assurance, Lab, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Systems, Maintenance, and Engineering. Once a rotation through each of these functions occurs, the Trainee will dive deeper into a specialized role in their key area of interest.

3 Program Details Basic Qualifications Graduating senior OR already have completed the required degree Must be willing to relocate to a FMIC location Cumulative GPA must be at least 3.0 Compensation This is a full time position with benefits Relocation assistance and temporary living expenses may be provided Minneapolis, MN Farmington, MN Rochester, MN Fargo, ND Locations Cedarburg, WI New Britain, CT Portland, ME Fredrick, MD Program Timeline 0-6 Months: Training Extensive training through all disciplines that ensures a thorough understanding of the locations business model by learning how each department works together and impacts one another 6-12 Months: Core Focus Move into specific area of interest Lead and participate in projects of inreasing size and scope Introduction to Supervision and formal training Begin working on a Continuous Improvement Project, typically within specific discipline, to help drive positive changes at the location Months: Supervision & Project Work Opportunities to travel to other locations/plants and complete training experiences in other environments Complete Continuous Improvement Project and present key outcomes to SLT Supervise people Program completion Promotional and relocation opportunities available based on the needs of the business
