2 From a small mechanical workshop which even at this time produced f.i. pumps, strap saws, planing machines, straw cutters, small walk behind tractors and many other products, schanzlin Antriebstechnik GmbH the company we know today developed. Even then Schanzlin was a subcontractor and supplier of turned parts for the gear production. As early as 1948 when the motorisation of agriculture began, with machines like powered mowers, walk behind tractos, rotary cultivators and small 4-wheel-tractors, schanzlin was one of the few companies leading the development of these new technologies pionieering technology and acquiring know how in the sector of transmission and axle production. In 1953 the move to Weisweil followed. Most modern technology, quality and experience with a highly skilled workforce are securing success also for the future. schanzlin today is a group of companies with approx. 90 employees. Also the lending work force is part of the business success. As medium-sized company specialised in machining of series produced parts, we are also prepared for purchasing of raw matieral upon request.
