4 PREPERATION FOR OPERATION After remving scale frm its package, installatin culd be accmplished by fllwing instructins given in ASSEMBLY WARNINGS part. In mdels using pst part, after setting the pst t desired angle, screw the cnnecting screw t stabilize it. Place the scale n a hrizntal stable base. Avid disturbing envirnmental cnditins such as shcks, vibratins and air currents. Fr setting the scale parallel t the base just turn the adjustable feet in rder t stable the spirit level. (The bubble f the spirit level must be within the indicating circle) Attach the adaptr t an electric utlet that has grund (220V), and cnnect it t adaptr input. There is an n/ff key near the adaptr input. Yu can perate scale frm this key. NOTE: If scale has a rechargeable battery (sealed lead type), it shuld be charged at least 8 hur befre first peratin. NOTE: There are prtecting bands n the back display and pst display. Taking ut these bands make clear seeing the display. There may be white r blue band t prtect stainless steel part f the scale. It shuld be taken ff befre using the scale. ASSEMBLY WARNINGS EGE-M AND EGE-LED HOLDING WIRE: EGE-M (ALKALINE BATTERY ATTACHMENT): WARNING: WHILE D SIZE BATTERY IS ATTACHED, DO NOT CONNECT ADAPTOR! If D size alkaline battery will be attached, unplug battery cnnectr and remve rechargeable sealed lead type battery. Attach D size battery in right electrical ples. (See figure). 7 GENERAL WARNINGS In a failure case, behave accrding t the part THINGS TO DO BEFORE CALLING TO SERVICE. Befre cleaning, cnnectin between scale and netwrk must be cut ff. Remve the plug t break f the electricity circuit befre starting cleaning the scale. Then clean the scale with a dry r lightly detergent dampened clth. D nt use slvents such as gasline, benzene, thinner, alchl and hard cleaning substances. Plug fr electricity cnnectin after being sure that the scale is cmpletely dried. When it is necessary t transprt, carry the scale (fr remvable plate scales) withut its weighing plate t prtect it frm strkes. It will reduce the risk f being damaged t carry the scale with its riginal package and Styrfam. Obey the transprting rules n package, during transprtatin. D nt place mre prduct than scale s maximum capacity (maximum value written n data plate). Measurement cmpnent culd be damaged. Attach the adaptr t an electric utlet that has grund. If yu are nt sure that utlet has grund, ask it t an electrician. Even if there is rechargeable sealed lead type battery in scale, use the scale with its adaptr as pssible as yu can. Place adaptr cable like it wn t be damaged (smewhere n ne wuld step n it, r nthing culd crush t it) and place it like it wn t mve as it is pssible. D nt pull the adaptr frm its cable when yu remve it frm utlet r scale. Remve it frm utlet with hlding adaptr itself, and remve it frm scale with hlding the utlet n scale. D nt cver scale with nyln r any clth like it. It must nt tuch anywhere except its legs. Weight, unit price and price displays shuld place as custmer culd see them easily in direct sales t public. If there is ne display it shuld be placed as bth custmer and user culd see it easily. NOTE: Weighing instruments which gt marking Nt t be used fr direct sale t the public shuld nt use fr direct sale t the public. In mdels with rechargeable battery, perid f sealed lead type battery life can be change in large ranges accrding t usage f cnditins. Perids explained in brchures are the lngest perids f battery life Fr instance, if a scale with LCD display Wrks fr 8-10 hurs in a day withut using its display backlight. It can be used, withut charging, fr weeks. On the ther hand if it can be used with display backlight it shuld be charged in every 2-3, even every day. If yu cancel a flashing pint in a scale with LED display (in a scale with LCD display is shwn) and just use the weight display, battery life becmes shrter abut 3-4 times. Battery shuld be replaced in every 2 years fr mdels with sealed lead type rechargeable battery. Warranty des nt applied t instrument that any f its security stickers r data plates were remved r damaged. COMMENTS ON VERIFICATION D nt take this sectin int cnsideratin, if the weighing instrument des nt bear green M sticker. Measuring instruments are reverified accrding t the legal requirements applicable in the individual Member States. See data plate fr the year (near the CE marking) the measuring instrument is installed and put int service. This date authritative in tw years but Perid f circulatin can be changed in yur cuntry. End f perid f circulatin yu must g t relevant ministry with yur machine. If the instrument cnnected t additinal equipment, the red M sticker will be affixed t the additinal equipment, thus permitting it t be put int service and trade with the exceptin f direct sales t the public. After the peridic r repairs, fr inspectin and sealing prcess authrized shuld take empty cunter "Service Tag" frm yur services. Then, with this label shuld g t inspectin and shuld be determined. 8 If mdificatins f any kind are made t stickers that given abve after the weighing instrument being put int service, the cmpetent Weights and Measures Authrities must be ntified. Detail Security f Seals: The cunt f event cunter is displayed during start-up fr tw secnds and is identified as C XXXX where XXXX is the cunt. This cunt must be the same with inscribed cunt f event cunter n a label is placed near the data plate. If this tw numbers are nt same,it means that the seal breaks dwn. 11 Service Event Cunter DISPLAY AND KEYBOARD Zer Indicatr O : Shws that the weighing plate is empty. Befre weighing a prduct, be sure that the weighing plate is empty and press O key fr zer setting if the O indicatr is ff. Otherwise errr may ccur. Equilibrium Indicatr D : Shws that the lad n the weighing plate is well stabled. It is ff while placing r remving the prduct. If D indicatr ges ff, the weight shwn n the display may be wrng. Therefre, in rder t read the weight, wait until D symbl appears after placing the prduct n the weighing plate. NET Indicatr NET: It is ON, when there is a tare. Actual weight value is NET weight value. Tare Indicatr T : Shws that the tare effects the weighing. It flashes when the tare is nt fixed. It is cntinuusly n when the tare is fixed. (Only fr scales with LCD display.) Ttal Memry Indicatr M: It flashes when the ttal memry is cntaining a value. It remains cntinuusly n while the cntent f the ttal memry is being displayed. Battery Indicatr: R : Shws that the battery is used. If Battery indicatr is ON, scale is pwered by the battery. If it flashes, it is necessary t charge r change the battery in the shrtest time. Weighting instrument that designed with using LCD type display mdules has fur additinal battery indicatrs fr indicating the fullness f the battery and als they have a sliding battery charging animatin mde, which is nly activated when the adapter cnnectin is established. While the adapter cnnectin is nt established, the battery frame arund the battery indicatrs appears fr indicating the battery is being used. Just befre the battery becmes empty, the battery frame flashes. W1 and W2 Indicatr: Shws actual weighing range (nly fr multiple range scales). See max, min, e values f each range n data plates. FIRST OPERATION When scale is turn n all segments and symbls are seen. Numbers cunting backwards are seen n display abut 10 secnds. After that, maximum capacity and divisin is seen fr a while and scale gets ready t weigh. Value f zer is seen n display. O and D indicatrs are ON. Nthing shuld be placed n weighing plate until it gets ready fr weighing peratin. If there is any weight n weighing plate r there is n weighing plate n scale, ER 5 errr message might be seen n display. Be sure that there is n weight n the weighing plate befre calling service. WEIGHING THE PRODUCT Place the prduct n the weighing plate. Wait until the D indicatr is n. Weight f the prduct is seen n display. The value shuld appear n the display and als the D and O indicatr shuld be n when the weighing plate is empty. If the value n the display is nt zer(r D indicatr is nt n), press O fr zer setting. After establishing zer and balance, prceed t the weighing prcess. WARNING: Abslutely nt place any lad mre than maximum capacity f scale. ( Max value n data plate) Prduct shuld be placed n weighing plate by hand. Leaving the prduct frm high r thrwing it n t the weighing plate (even the weight is lw) scale may be damaged. WEIGHING BY PRICING If unit price is entered while weighing, price t pay is cmputed autmatically. It is pssible t enter unit price in 2 different ways.: 0, 1 9 keys (number keys) P1,, P30 price lkup keys. Entered price shuld be seen n unit price display, price t pay shuld be seen n price t pay display. Pres U (shift) key t reach the prgrams placed at the bttm (prgrams between P16-P30). NOTE: Unit price can be entered as integer r fractinal number. Example: If 75.9 is wanted t see as unit price. 1) Press 7 key. 2) Press 5 key. 3) Press. key. 4) Press 9 key

13 NOTE: Unit price is cleared after prduct has been weighed. (When the weighing plate is empty). T prevent this, press SABİT key after entering unit price. T cancel autmatic clearing f unit price cntinuusly, turn OFF Temprary Unit Price (Set 3-2) specificatin frm SEETINGS. REGISTERING THE UNIT PRICE LOOKUP KEYS Press ne f P1,, P30 keys that yu want t save the unit price, at least 3 secnds. A lng Beep signal is heard. Number f price lkup key yu enter is seen n unit price display fr a while. Firstly press Ukey t reach the prgrams placed t the bttm (prgrams between P16-P30). USAGE OF EXTRA PRICE LOOKUPS (PLU) There are 250 price lkups. It is pssible t reach first 30 prgrams directly by P1,,P30 keys. T reach ther price lkup tables: Press P key. PLU is seen n price display. Enter prgram number. (Fr instance; press 7, 1 keys fr registering the prgram number) Unit price is saved in prgram 71 is seen n the unit price display. First, PLU 71 shuld be seen then price t pay shuld be seen n price display. Registering the unit price n prgram keys: Enter price by using number keys. This price is seen n unit price display. Press P key at least 3 secnds. Flashing PLU is seen n price t pay display. Enter prgram number (fr instance, press 7, 1 keys ne by ne fr prgram numbered 71) After 3 secnds lng Beep signal is ging t be heard. Saved prgram s number is seen n price t pay display fr a while. WEIGHING WITH TARE Place the tare weight n the weighing plate. Wait until the D indicatr is n. Weight f tare can be read frm weight display. Press T key. dara is seen n display fr a secnd then value f is seen n display.. NET indicatr is ON. T symbl is flashing (nly fr LCD display). Tare has been weighted. Place the prduct n weighing plate. Wait until D indicatr is n. Prduct s net weight is seen n display screen. Make empty the weighing plate. Wait until the D indicatr is n. NET and T indicatrs are ff. Tare is cancelled autmatically. Preset Tare: Tare value can be entered by using numerical keypad. Press E key. EL message is seen n unit price display. Weight display is empty. Press T key

If 1 kg Tare value will be set fr 30 kg 2x3000 weighing instrument, must be entered. Press F key t fix the tare value. In this case tare will nt be cancelled when weighing plate is empty. NOTE: Press T key 2 times fr blcking the cancellatin f tare. In this case, wrd sabit is seen n weight display fr a while and tare symbl (nly fr scale with LCD display) begins t be cntinuusly ON. T cancel tare, press T key when the weighing plate is empty. Mdels with T symbl (fr LCD display); Never ON FLASHING Always ON : There is n tare :When weighing plate is empty, tare will be cancelled autmatically. :Tare is fixed. Press T key t cancel it when weighing plate is empty. TOTAL MEMORY TRANSACTIONS ATTENTION: If weighing instrument is EGE-M r EGE-LED and there is n printer, nt t be used fr Ttal Memry Transactins. Ttal memry is used fr adding weight and price f prducts t previus calculated weight and price. Fr this transactin there are tw keys W, M X n keybard. Adding t Ttal Memry: Place the prduct; t add t memry, n the weighing plate. Wait until D indicatr turns ON. Enter the unit price f prduct. Press W key. Weight and price t pay are added t memry. Related M indicatr flashes. NOTE: During the zer, negatif and Full weight indicatins and als when the D indicatr is ff; adding t ttal memry will nt be perated. NOTE: After an adding t ttal memry transactin, new adding transactins will nt be allwed until weighing plate is empty and value is seen n weight display r new unit price value is entered. ATTENTION: If weighing instrument is EGE-M r EGE-LED and there is n printer, nt t be used fr Ttal Memry Transactins. NOTE: It is pssible t see the ttal as sn as pressing W key. Fr this transactin turns ff Adding withut Shwing Ttal (Set3-1) specificatin frm SETTINGS. In this case, ttal wuld be seen until the prduct is taken frm weighing plate. NOTE: Turn ff Temprary Unit Price (Set3-2) specificatin frm SETTINGS part t cancel zer setting f unit price cntinuusly. NOTE: Maximum 80 recrd is allwed fr ttal memry transactin

15 Adding Price t Memry withut Weight: If a prduct that has n relatin between its unit price and weight (ex: bread) is required t be added t the ttal memry: Press E key. EL message is seen n unit price display. Weight display is empty. Enter the price yu want t add by using number keys. Price yu entered is seen n price t pay display. Press W key. Number seen n price t pay display is added t ttal memry. Ttal weight des nt change. Seeing and Erasing Ttal: Press M X key. RS232 INTERFACE RS232 cnnectin and related settings fr wieghing instrument with RS232 utput are exists in PCdemhelp_tr.pdf in PCDem flder in CD which is given with weighing insturment. NOTE: F key is use t send data t cmputer which is EGE series SETTINGS Pres F key during 3 secnds t enter settings menu. Set and Basis Menu Number is seen n Weight display, and Sub Menu Number is seen n Unit Price display. Value is seen n Price t Pay display. Press F key t pass t fllwing menu. Tare 1.1 Tare depends n stable equilibrium (On) (If it is apprved, its default value is ON and it cannt be changed) 1.2 Cancel tare peratin in negative net value (On) Smaller tare than valid tare. (In negative net value) (If it is apprved, its default value is ON and it cannt be changed) 1.3 Taring via Interface (Off) Nt in this type. 2. NOTE : If there is tare, autmatic zer tracking prgram is nt ging t run. 2.6 Zer setting via interface (Off) Nt in this type. 2.7 Sil Mde Acitve/Passive (Off) If it is ON :Sil Mde is enabled and initial zer setting cntrl is nt dne. If it is OFF :Sil Mde is disabled. 3. Ttal Memry, Unit Price: 3.1 Adding withut shwing ttal memry (On) If it is ON: Ttal cannt be seen after M+. Weighing is seen. If it is OFF: Ttal can be seen until the weighing plate is empty, after M+ 3.2 Temprary unit price (On) If it is ON: Unit price is cancelled autmatically when the weighing plate is empty. If it is OFF: Unit price is nt cancelled autmatically when the weighing plate is empty. 3.3 Adding by M+ is depends n stability (On) (If it is apprved, its default value is ON and it cannt be changed.)
