Division Reports to (title) Location base Content Editorial Lead Birmingham Organisation structure The Graphic Designer is part of BBC Three s Editorial team The Editorial team produces a wide range of written content and short videos, which are published across bbc.co.uk as well as on BBC Three s social media platforms The Graphic Designer will also contribute to other parts of BBC Three s visual output The successful candidate will work with a Senior Graphic Designer Additional job specific responsibilities and accountabilities You will design, execute and produce distinctive still and motion graphics on a variety of platforms You will support the team with finding brilliant images You will also produce title sequences and contribute to new idents and brand graphics You need to be able to come up with your own ideas and nurture others You will need to be energetic, technically gifted and able to work in a range of different styles Candidates should be skilled users of Photoshop, After Effects, Motion, Illustrator Essential skills & experience At least 2 years professional experience of graphic design work, and a relevant design qualification. Demonstrable experience as a still and motion graphic designer within journalism, television or multimedia production. Demonstrable understanding of designing for a given target audience or brand. The ability to work independently and to contribute design skills & experience to the team. The ability to work quickly and creatively under pressure and deliver against tight deadlines. The ability to prioritize effectively. Good communication skills to ensure editorial expectations are understood and realistic. Committed and enthusiastic about design and design software.
