Amng several items f nte: New and revised entries: Packing grup II assignment has been remved frm numerus Class 1 materials, rganic perxides, and articles; The Air bag inflatrs/mdules and Seat-belt pretensiners entries (UN0503 and UN3268) are replaced with Safety devices, electrically initiated r Safety devices, pyrtechnic ; "Engine" prper shipping names (PSN) split ff f UN3166 and mves them t new UN3528, UN3529, and UN3590 Engine and Machinery PSNs (hwever, the UN3166 "Engine" entries may cntinue t be used until 1 Jan 2018); revised UN3269, Plyester resin kit PSN ( adds liquid base material ptinal text); new UN0510, Rcket mtrs, 1.4C entry; new UN3527, Plyester resin kit, sld base material entry; new UN3531, and UN3532 stabilized liquid and slid plymerizing substances entries; and new UN3533, and UN3534 temp cntrlled liquid and slid plymerizing substances entries. IATA 58 th Editin When the selected carrier is United Parcel Service and a class 6.1, packing grup III material is selected; UPS variatin 5X-02 requires the package label diagram t display the text "PG III" adjacent t the class 6.1 label. It will appear utside the upper right-hand end f the text bx When the selected carrier is United Parcel Service and the shipper selects UN3090, UN3091, UN3480, r UN3481; the UPS variatin 5X-07 prir apprval warning will nw nly shw if the shipper adds a Cmpetent Authrity authrizatin t the package. Currently, it always shws s this will cut dwn n the number f warnings that a shipper sees. If the Shipper's r Cnsignee's selected cuntry is the United States and the selected material is: authrized fr transprt by the selected internatinal air transprt mde but nt authrized fr transprt by the same transprt mde under 49 CFR; and, the selected material des nt have special prvisin A1 r A2 assigned t it: 1. If a Cmpetent Authrity (CA) r Special Permit (DOT-SP) has nt been entered r the "Bypass Validatin" has nt been selected, the prgram will shw an errr message when the package and shipment is prcessed based n U.S. State Variatin USG If a CA r DOT-SP is entered, the prgram will shw a warning message when the package and shipment is prcessed based n U.S. State Variatin USG If the "Bypass Validatin" ptin is selected, the prgram will shw an "verride errr" message when the package and shipment is prcessed based n U.S. State Variatin USG-02. Fr class r subrisk 2.3 materials; class/subrisk 6.1 materials that are Inhalatin Hazards; r if the Inhalatin Hazard check bx is selected, then a "Inhalatin Hazard" marking will display n the package label diagram, replacing the previusly required "Txic-Inhalatin Hazard" marking. Hwever, the current "Txic-Inhalatin Hazard" text will still shw n the shipping paper.
