8 Climate protection and adaption (RegFNP, chapter 4.6) Generally spatial plans should include climate protective aspects, especially the reduction of CO 2 emissions and measures to climate adaptation. Fresh air / cold air forming in regions and fresh air / cold air flow paths shall be protected, kept open and if necessary restored. KG 8 8 August 2013 Bereich Energie / Umwelt - Dr. Kirsten Schröder-Goga
9 Climate protection (RegFNP, chapter 4.6) For the area of the Regional Authority FrankfurtRheinMain exists a region wide simulation of the cold air flow. The Regional Land Use Plan contains the cold / fresh air forming regions and the cold / fresh air flow paths. These areas are in spatial context with polluted urban areas, important tasks for the climate protection and pollution control and shown as "reserved areas with special climate functions ". reserved areas with special climate functions source: Regional Authority FrankfurtRheinMain 9 8 August 2013 Bereich Energie / Umwelt - Dr. Kirsten Schröder-Goga
10 Climate protection (RegFNP, chapter 4.6) The Regional Land Use Plan is digitally drawn up at a scale of 1: overlays of the category reserved areas with special climate functions with areas of settlement can not be shown. The reserved areas with special climate functions should be kept free of buildings and other measures that may constrain the production or transportation of fresh and cool air. Reserved areas with special climate functions (map exerpt RegFNP) source: Regional Authority FrankfurtRheinMain 10 8 August 2013 Bereich Energie / Umwelt - Dr. Kirsten Schröder-Goga
11 Green spaces (RegFNP, chapter 4.3) Connected and sufficiently large uninhabited spaces should be kept free of settlements and designed as essential structural elements of the landscape. In the Regional Land Use Plan these areas are shown as priority areas for green spaces. In the "priority areas of green spaces, open space is carrier of important functions of soil, water, air, climate, forest and landscape. priority areas for green spaces (map exerpt RegFNP) source: Regional Authority FrankfurtRheinMain 11 8 August 2013 Bereich Energie / Umwelt - Dr. Kirsten Schröder-Goga
