4 PZ ALUFRAME SYSTEM PZ ALUFRAME SYSTEM ALUFRAME STANDARD SERIES AluFrame is a versatile, lightweight modular concrete formwork system packed with performance features. It offers the ideal combination of heavy load capacity over large surface areas, lightweight components, and ease of transportation and use. Constructed using a combination of alloy 6063 T6 and 12mm birch FF plywood or polypropylene faced plywood the system utilises ultrafast connectors for rapid onsite assembly and disassembly making AluFrame flexible enough to be used on sites with or without crane access. This means that AluFrame is very quick and easy to reposition, and extremely costeffective. The preconstructed panels are connected horizontally and vertically with strong, hammerin/out wedge clamps and the tierod connectors (comprising tierods, anchors, 20mm plastic sleeves and plastic cones) are positioned 3 per 3 meter running height. ALUFRAME UNIVERSAL SERIES AluFrame Universal is a robust, heavy duty, alloy and plybased modular concrete formwork system specially designed for the most demanding of construction situations. Its sophisticated design using a combination of alloy 6063 T6, 12mm birch FF plywood or polypropylene faced plywood, and quickfit connectors makes AluFrame Universal extremely adaptable, quick to assemble (and disassemble) and very safe. The inherent highspecification design characteristics of AluFrame Universal makes it the ideal choice for largescale projects where adaptability and flexibility are vital to ensure product performance and ontime completion. Importantly, AluFrame Universal can be custommade to client specifications in the PZ factory, using the latest laser welding technology. AluFrame Universal has been designed to give maximum weight/strength performance. Its unique construction and adaptability makes AluFrame Universal extremely flexible for almost all types of shuttering requirements particularly those in confined areas or remote locations, or where time constraints are critical. Column construction is quick and precise when using AluFrame Universal. Stock panels or preordered customsized panels are quickly and easily assembled endtoface butting, and connected using tie bolts and quickaction anchor nuts. This very efficient system offers practical solutions for onsite assembly with minimum delay meaning cost and time savings Cantilever platforms can be added at any height to allow ancillary work.

The wide selection of panel connectors, ground anchors and push/pull struts makes onsite assembly painfree. Birch FF 12mm ply on the panels ensures a superb finish to the concrete face COLUMN CONSTRUCTION MADE EASY WITH THE PZ ANGLE CLAMP BRACKET A truly innovative PZ solution to simplify and speed up the process of column construction. Using this bracket, AluFrame Standard Series panels can be deployed to quickly construct holefree columns without the need for complex and timeconsuming fixings. This revolutionary bracket clamps panels securely, providing a quick and reliable method of column construction. Extremely durable, these angle clamp brackets and can be reused countless times. Columns up to 8m high can be constructed swiftly and at much lower cost. Final column dimensions are always 5cm less than the actual panel width

7 PAVLOS ZENONOS AND SONS LTD DOUBLESIDED WALL CONSTRUCTION PZ ALUFRAME UNIVERSAL THE TOTAL SOLUTION FOR SMALLSCALE AND LARGESCALE ONSITE SHUTTERING The AluFrame Universal system comprises an extensive range of heavyduty components meaning that engineers can design simple or complex structures knowing that the AluFrame Universal range has the capability and flexibility to meet the design and construction criteria. Rightangle clamps External angles Wall shuttering solutions are easily assembled using a combination of panels, internal and external angle fittings, and robust, heavyduty connectors and by using push/pull props and anchors, perfect alignment and registration can be achieved. For working at extended heights, cantilever platform arms can be easily added and quickly removed. Plywood strip supported by either HBeam or timber beam attached to a walling beam. Recommended for walls more than 60cm thick. Maximum efficiency can be achieved by utilizing the 5cm grid in any AluFrame panel exceeding the width of the wall. Exact sized panels can be used to provide end formwork with external angles. Rightangle panel clamp. An allowance of 10cm on each side where a rightangle clamp is fastened is required for determining the width of the panel used in the end form

8 PZ ALUFRAME SYSTEM PUSH & PULL SYSTEM PZ Push & Pull Systems combine adjuster props and anchors to ensure the precise and strong vertical and horizontal alignment of AluFrame shuttering installations. Props are made from 48.3mm dia. steel tube, and are connected to the AluFrame panels by means of Ibolts and speed bolts. They are anchored to the ground using boltthrough steel plates. Push & Pull Systems are available in singleprop or doubleprop configurations. Connected using Ibolts and speed bolts

9 PAVLOS ZENONOS AND SONS LTD SINGLESIDED WALL CONSTRUCTION PZ ALUFRAME SINGLESIDED WALLS A quick and easytoassemble toolfree shuttering system based on the superb AluFrame concept. Panels are easily connected to form large expanses of shuttering, while the push & pull struts allow for precise vertical and horizontal alignment. The birch FF plywood used for the AluFrame panels ensures a supersmooth surface finish. AluFrame structures are easily lifted by crane and in this situation stabilisation of the horizontal struts is achieved by bracing them with 48.3mm steel tube fixed with clamps. Ground anchoring is via steel Ubars sunk in concrete. PZ HEAVY DUTY SINGLESIDED SUPPORT SYSTEM In situations where extra strength is required for extended runs or heights, for example heavy duty steel beams with integrated push & pull mechanisms are available. This greatly adds to the versatility of the AluFrame system. Curved steel bars embedded in the concrete floor Endflange tie rod embedded in concrete floor. Tie rod drilled in existing concrete floor. An efficient tool designed for swift action during the setup and the dismantling process. It provides a compact join of panels. A hammer is the only tool needed for setting and releasing the wedge clamp. Fast panel connection is achieved by a minimum number of operatives. 12 PZ ALUFRAME SYSTEM PZ UNIVERSAL PANEL CLAMP The Universal Clamp has a range of 18cm and is designed to fit exactly the panel s profile. The clamp provides compensation for vertical and horizontal closures as well as extensions. Universal Clamp positioning on 3.0m panels. The Universal Clamp is quickly positioned, and ensures a tight, secure connection. Vertical compensation provided by AluFrame universal panels is tight enough for a 4.5 x 4.15m module to be manoeuvred by crane without extra support. For a tight connection the compensation beam should have a 12cm depth. The Universal Clamp provides the compensation whenever universal panels are employed for angled wall formwork

13 PAVLOS ZENONOS AND SONS LTD RIGHT ANGLE CLAMP EXTENSION CONNECTOR An easy to handle tool that provides tight and secure corner solutions for columns and rightangled turning walls. It is specifically designed to match the AluFrame and Super Panel profiles. The right angle clamp is an alternative method of securing columns and right angles in corners of formed wall sections, eliminating the need to drill a tiehole through panels. The clamp s highly ergonomic design means fast and easy positioning and equally fast striking times. The extension connector is a simple yet versatile tool that provides vertical and horizontal plywood closures of up to 30cm, plus height extensions for those extra centimetres beyond the panel s reach. When the connector is placed on the top end of a panel section it provides alignment, and augments the compactness of the section. Extension patches of plywood are easy and fast to use on any column and wall section with aluminium patch connectors

14 PZ ALUFRAME SYSTEM FILLER PLATES Filler plates are another method of compensation, with the added advantage of providing easy striking for adjacent forms, and is especially useful in short wallsection spans such as elevator shafts. Standard filler plates are 10cm wide providing compensation of up to 6cm. Heights available are: 300, 270, 250, 150 and 100cm

15 PAVLOS ZENONOS AND SONS LTD WALL BRACING FOR EXTRA SUPPORT ALIGNMENT CLAMP LIGHT & HEAVY DUTY STEEL BEAMS A quickaction tool placed either vertically or horizontally on the frames that provides tight and secure bracing, and perfect alignment with the aid of a metal or timber beam. The alignment clamp is placed, secured and adjusted in a matter of seconds. A heavy duty pin secures the clamp to the panel. Swift vertical or horizontal wall bracing is applied with the aid of heavy or light duty beams anchored by wing nuts and tie rods. The beams come in a wide range of lengths. CRANE HOOK A quickfit hook with heavy duty pin, used to enable preassembled shuttering panels to be safely lifted and positioned on site by crane

16 PZ ALUFRAME SYSTEM PZ ALUFRAME ACCESSORIES RIGHTANGLE ALLOY LINK FITTING ANCHOR NUT INTERNAL RIGHTANGLE ALLOY LINK FITTING A very effective and easytouse light alloy 6063 T6 extrusion of exactly 120x200x200mm permits the forming of internal right angles using AluFrame panels while ensuring that the tierod holes on inner and outer panels align precisely. The extrusion is held in place with wedge clamps. PZ electroplated castiron anchor nuts are quickfitting and highstrength for optimum performance. Maximum load per tie rod is 58kN. WORKING PLATFORM ARM EXTERNAL RIGHTANGLE ALLOY LINK FITTING To ensure there are no gaps on an external rightangle corner, a light alloy 6063 T6 extrusion can be connected to the adjacent AluFrame panels using wedge clamps. UNIVERSALANGLE HINGED STEEL LINK FITTING A cantilever arm used to provide a working platform at any height. The arm is secured by a heavyduty pin that allows for fast assembly and removal and is used in conjunction with plywood panels, scaffolding planks, or wooden beams. Integrated guardrail hooks accommodate wooden beams to form a safe working location. To connect infinitely variable angled corners using AluFrame panels, a hinged fitting is used for both internal and external corners. Made from coated steel, these fittings are easily connected by using wedge clamps internally or universal clamps externally

17 PAVLOS ZENONOS AND SONS LTD CORNER FORMS ARTICULATED CORNERS Any nonright angle can be easily formed with the aid of universal SP panels across each other. The resulting compensation of the outer wall section is provided by Universal Clamps. TSECTIONS Tsections formed using internal angle panels. 18 PZ ALUFRAME SYSTEM FOUNDATION FORMWORK WITH ALUFRAME PANELS AluFrame is the ideal solution for foundation forms, as its light weight and easy handling accelerate placement and striking times. The multiapplicability of the AluFrame panel in column, wall and foundation forms increases its utility ratio and reduces formworkrelated costs significantly. Fulllength panels can be placed horizonntally and in combination with 100cm panels Elevator shaft formwork with AluFrame: Plate fillers are used intermediately so as to facilitate easy striking of the form. In the drawing above the form is divided into four modules. After striking, the four modules are easily repositioned with the aid of a crane. ELEVATOR SHAFT Economy coupled with quick assembly and striking times: AluFrame panels are perfectly suited for elevator shaft formwork because of their easy handling, large surface area and the minimum number of connection parts. Easy striking of the form is accomplished by the use of filler plates in the most economic and problemfree way
