2 CENTRE OF EXCELLECNE IN MOLECULAR BIOLOGY (CEMB) UNIVERSITY OF THE PUNJAB 87-WEST CANAL BANK ROAD, THOKAR NIAZ BAIG, LAHORE CONSTRUCTION OF WASHROOM, SEPTIC TANK AND PREPARED FIBER SHADE FOR WALK THOROUGH GATE IN SECURITY MAIN GATE OF CEMB TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TENDER:- 1) Sealed tenders should be submitted by filling in the rate and amount in the BOQ given in the tender along with the total tender cost. Each page of the tender should be signed & stamped by the contractor. Incomplete, part or conditional tenders will not be accepted. 2) Earnest money at the rate of 2% of the total tender cost in the shape of deposit at call in the name of Director CEMB, Lahore must accompany the tender, failing which the tender will be rejected. 3) Period of validity of tender: 30 days from the date of opening of tender. 4) Time of Completion: 30 days after commencement of the work. 5) Amount of liquidated damages at the rate of Rs. 5,000/- per day or part of the day up to a maximum limit of 10% of the tender cost. 6) Defect Liability Period: 6 months from the date of Completion certificate. 7) Percentage of retention money: 10% of gross value of Work done/payment verified as interim certificate. 8) Minimum amount of interim payment: Rs.200,000/= 9) Income Tax: Income Tax will be deducted as per Government Rules. 10) The Contractor/firm should have at least 5-10 years experience. 11) Only registered Contractors, who are on active tax payers list (ATC) of FBR are eligible to participate in tender competition. 2
