On the basis of a catalog of 193 agricultural technologies, and 88 Sustainable Forest Management Plans, INTA and INAFOR provided broader access to agricultural and forestry services and innovations to approximately 70,000 producers (37 percent are women) around the country (out of a target of 50,400). The strategy of Promotoria Rural supported by the project has been instrumental in expanding the outreach of basic agricultural services. The additional financing (AF) Grant H537 to strengthen the National Seed System has served 1,435 seed producers (out of a target of 1,200), and supported the improvements in three Page 1 of 9

2 regional certification laboratories and in the National Genetic Center. The AF has financed 39 Cooperative Development Plans (PDC) to seed producers (out of a target of 31), established a USD 3.1 million Credit Line by financing the production and processing of 3,885 metric tons of seeds of beans, maize, and rice (out of a target of 3,046 metric tons). In the current 2014 primera sowing season, another 1,978 MT are being produced for certification. Note that breakdown indicators per type of grain are reported below with 2013 and 2014 data.
