6 ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE Ministry of Environment & Forests (MOEF), Govt. of India had issued a notification on 27 th January, 1994 making it mandatory for 30 types of activity (Schedule I) to take Environmental Clearance from MOEF. On 7 th July, 2004 Ministry of Environment & Forests (MOEF), Govt. of India issued a notification and included following as item no. 31 & 32 in the above notification making it mandatory to take Environmental Clearance: 31.
