2 Choosing the right course Our heat pump training courses are specific to a par cular heat pump range or type. Please select the course relevant to the heat pump you will be installing Details of each course are given on the following pages. Air Eau (LA MI) Page 4 A Class (A M) Page 5 WPM Controlled Heat Pumps (LA MS, LA PMS,LA PS,LA TU, SI ME, SIH ME, SIK ME, SI TE, SIH TE, SI TU) Page 6 Dimplex Accredited Installer Scheme Following successful comple on of Dimplex Renewables course eligible installers will be invited to join the Dimplex accredited installer scheme in the heat pump they have been trained, details of the scheme can be found on page 7. Terms and Condi ons Booking: Each Delegate must send a fully completed booking form along with copies of their qualifica ons to training@dimplex.co.uk or the address below, this must be marked for the a en on of the Renewables Coordinator. Confirma on of a place along with joining instruc ons and direc ons to the centre will be ed to the delegate. Fee: The fee includes course documenta on as well as mid session refreshments and lunch. Please advise if you have any special dietary requirements. Voucher: Eligible candidates will receive a voucher at the successful comple on of a Dimplex Renewables product course This voucher is redeemable against purchase of a Dimplex Renewables product or further Dimplex Renewables training. Terms and condi ons apply Cancella on Policy : Over 14 days prior to the course: Cancella on fee of 25% days prior to the course: 50% of the fee. 3 Pre requisites to Dimplex Renewables Heat Pump Training Courses Dimplex Renewables heat pump training courses are designed and aimed at experienced heat pump installa on engineers and designers. Below is the list of pre requisites needed to a end any of the courses. If you are uncertain please contact Dimplex head office. Delegates who have not completed a Dimplex product course during 2013 must provide copies of their qualifica on prior to their acceptance on the course. Installa on Engineers One of the following industry recognised installer qualifica on Logic Heat pump installer Bpec Heat pump installer Na onal Skills Academy Level 3 in Heat pump Installa on Na onal Skills Academy Level 3 in Heat pump Installa on and maintenance City and Guilds City and Guilds NICEIC ASHP01 NICEIC GSHP01 Or Direct employee or subcontractor of MCS approved company for heat pumps G3 NVQ 2 or equivalent qualifica on in plumbing or hea ng Proven experience of working with heat pumps (number of installa ons or other manufacturer training) Designers One of Logic Heat pump designer Bpec Heat pump designer Or Direct employee or subcontractor of MCS approved company for heat pumps Proven experience of working with heat pumps (number of designs or other manufacturer training)

4 This training course covers the design, se ng to work and commissioning of the popular Dimplex Renewables Air Eau (LA MI) inverter heat pump range. Course Scope Day 1 Day 2 Design: heat, fabric and ven la on loss calcula ons MIS3005 Hydraulic basics, pressure loss and pumps MIS % sizing rule, Temperature star ra ng and system performance calcula on MIS3005 sizing, focused on Air Eau range MIS3005 emi er, hot water cylinder and buffer tank selec on MIS3005 Permi ed Development Rights and Handover packs Overview of our domes c air and ground source heat pump ranges Basic design requirements Air Eau range package details and components Air Eau range installa on considera ons Air Eau range electrical considera ons Air Eau range programming Air Eau se ng to work and commissioning Air Eau Extended warranty paperwork and sign off procedure Dimplex services and Accredited Installer Scheme Exclusions to the course This course covers mono valent & mono energy hea ng applica ons only & does not cover the basic principles of a heat pump, it is expected that candidates will already have prior knowledge of heat pump technology. Notes Course prerequisites are listed on page 3. Installa on engineers who hold an industry recognised qualifica on in heat pump installa on and work directly for an MCS approved company are only required to a end the second day. Designers may a end day 1 only. 7 The Dimplex Renewables Accredited Installer Scheme is designed with communica on in mind. The Accredited installer scheme allows Dimplex Renewables to keep in regular contact and get feedback from the companies opera ng on the front line so we can improve together. Companies will be invited, when one of their Installers successfully pass a Dimplex Renewables training course If the Company is currently working towards MCS* for heat pumps and the Installers holding one of the industry recognised installer qualifica ons they will be invited to join the scheme. (*MCS should be achieved within 6 months of joining the Accredited installer scheme) Each joining company must sign and agree to the installer code. The Dimplex Renewables Installer code is a list of requirements that Dimplex Renewables believe are important for installers to operate within to provide the service that most end users expect. Much of the code will already be in your daily prac ce The Installer Code Be the point of contact for end users Act in accordance with all relevant UK regula ons, laws, standards and codes of prac ce in rela on to the technology they install Install and set to work all Dimplex Renewables products as s pulated in the installa on manuals and procedures.
