4 87 19 industry-specific job families Global Automotive Compensation Survey levels 64 countries Overview As part of the wider global initiative, and to give Automotive Producers and Automotive Suppliers an accurate, globally consistent and comprehensive source of reward data, Aon Hewitt established the Global Automotive Compensation Survey. The survey methodology and format were developed in close partnership with the regional steering committees of the Automotive Compensation Group, consisting of Automotive Producers and Automotive Suppliers. The survey covers 87 industry-specific job families on 19 levels, from top executives to blue collar workers, making it the most granular and globally consistent automotive survey on the market. Methodology The survey has a straightforward matching process that only requires to select a job family, sub-family and level, and it can easily be bridged to any internal grading or levelling system. In addition to size differentiation, the survey results also include statistical analyses of the levelling according to different 6 established job evaluation systems on the market (Hay, Mercer, Towers Watson). Data Coverage With 46 participants across 27 countries in 2014 (expanding to 64 countries in 2015) separated into comparator groups of All Automotive, Automotive Producers and Automotive Suppliers, this is the largest and most consistent source of Automotive reward data available. Participation Survey data submission is a necessary requirement for participation in the Group networking meetings and various other activities (e.g. flash surveys, accessing the online research repository and discussion, etc). Survey participation is facilitated by Aon Hewitt consultants.
