HQT&H currently manages 18 auditoria on behalf of local authorities, with capacities ranging from a 200 seat arts centre to a 2,400 seated/standing theatre. Last year HQT&H programmed a total of 2,354 shows which attracted attendances of over 1.5 million. HQ Theatres & Hospitality (HQT&H), the UK s second-largest venue operator, is a division of Qdos Entertainment Ltd, one of the largest entertainment Groups in Europe. is the place in Cheshire to experience quality entertainment, spectacular surroundings and delicious food and drink in our bespoke restaurant. At over 100 years old, this magnificent Edwardian Theatre is proving more popular than ever with audiences having grown by 80% in the last three years. Employment type: Maternity Cover December 2016 August 2017 Salary: Hours: Work location: c. 22,000 p.a. dependent on experience, ability and potential 37 Hours per week, to include weekends and evenings You will be based at and may be required to travel to and work at other HQT&H venues. Approved travel expenses will be reimbursed. Purpose of the role: The Assistant Hospitality Manager s contribution is central to the achievement of the Crewe Lyceum s operational and customer services targets. They will provide managerial and operations support for retail and event activity and be responsible for the achievement of financial, attendance and service targets in front of house, bars and food service. 3 REPORTING You will report directly to the Theatre Director. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Contribution as required to the achievement of Crewe Lyceum s annual business plan, with particular reference to achievement of hospitality sales and service targets. Effective supervision of restaurant, bar and event staff. Ensure effective induction processes are followed and maintained for the Hospitality team Ensure effective and considerate communication across all departments, both within Hospitality and the Lyceum as a whole Where applicable to offer support in floating role capacity across all Customer Service roles during shows and events. Responsibility for ordering stock and setting rotas for Crewe Lyceum s Front of House, Restaurant and public bars in conjunction with the Hospitality Manager Assisting with administrative and operational tasks as required by the Hospitality Manager Ensure all appropriate HQT&H cash and security policies and financial procedures are adhered to at all times In absence of Hospitality Manager, ordering of stock in line with budget Responsible for regular coaching and briefing to ensure Hospitality teams work towards increasing sales, maximising profitability and offer expected levels of service Communicating retail Spend per Head targets to Events, Front of House, Bar and Restaurant staff to drive income Assisting the Hospitality Manager, at the point where an event is confirmed, to plan and deliver events in the Lyceum which meet and exceed customer expectations, ensuring that clear and concise communication or operations requirements are distributed in an appropriate manner to all internal departments. To follow event administration procedures and record information accurately to ensure financial targets can be monitored

4 The achievement of Crewe Lyceum s Mystery Shopper Business target through the implementation and monitoring of all standards as laid out in Crewe Lyceum s mystery shopper audit document Where operational responsibilities cross into other departments, ensure effective and considerate communication and support clear procedures. Create and sustain positive cross-departmental working relationships Other related duties as may reasonably from time to time be required by the Hospitality Manager. 5 PERSON SPECIFICATION In order to be considered for this post you will need to evidence and demonstrate: Experience Proven experience of retail, hospitality and events operations Experience of supervising staff Experience of cash handling procedures, budget control and maintaining financial records Ordering and management of stock Experience of working within a restaurant, food service or bar environment Understanding of GPs and budget control Food Hygiene Level 2 or higher Skills Literacy, computer literacy, and numeracy appropriate to the requirements of the post. High level communication skills and an excellent manner when dealing with the public, stakeholders and colleagues. An ability to work as part of a team.. An ability to be flexible to business need and work calmly and effectively under pressure. Attitude A strong customer service focus and a genuine desire to deliver an excellent experience, every time. A can-do attitude and a positive, flexible approach to the job role, work colleagues and peers. A presentable, professional and approachable manner which sets an example for others to follow. Willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
