KEY TASKS Funder IDF, Provider Arm and PFO month end and year end deliverables Prepare, manage and monitor PFO operational budgets and expenditure Prepare, manage and monitor Funder Arm Revenue EXPECTED OUTCOMES Complete of IDF, Provider Arm and PFO month end and year end deliverables including: reporting requirements revenue reconciliations expenditure forecasts balance sheet adjustments balance sheet reconciliations GL coding of Invoices and recording Funder/Project Invoices HR adjustments Monthly adjustment journals, transfers etc Reports on Monthly and YTD Financial Performance and variance analysis HR based Reports Other ad Hoc reports Maintain Revenue Register Of CFA Variations, Cash updates and Direct MoH Revenue contracts Waitemata District Health Board -JOB DESCRIPTION - Page 1

2 Senior Financial Analyst PFO and Provider Arm Focus KEY TASKS EXPECTED OUTCOMES Reconcile monthly CFA revenue received to CFA Schedules & Cash updates Invoice for Agreements where funding is not through schedule B Invoice NRA and other entities against contracts Review Funded Initiatives and transfer to/from balance sheet Accrue Revenue Reconcile total revenue from schedules to Oracle Prepare, manage and monitor Funder Calculate revenue transfers to Provider Arm Arm : Provider Arm Transfers Maintain Register of SLAs and transferring funds as per the terms of agreement Maintain a schedule of transfers to be made each month to the Provider Arm split into Non-WIES base, Acute volumes, elective volumes, SLA transfers, CEO required transfers Prepare journals to reflect the agreed final position Reporting of variances Prepare, manage and monitor PFO Run reports on employee FTE numbers and salary Group Budgets Assist Manager Finance and Support Services to finalise the HR budget Trend analysis of operating expenditure to calculate the required expenditure budget Assist Manager Finance and Support Services to finalise budget Coordinate with Board Secretary to finalise Governance budget Coordinate with Risk manager to finalise audit & risk Budget Coordinate with RC managers to finalise Health campus budget Load both Funder and PFO budget into FFARS system Prepare Funder Arm Revenue Reconciliation for submission to Ministry Prepare the Mental health templates for submission to Ministry Prepare the Funder Arm Price volumes schedule for submission to ministry Assist corporate finance manager to reconcile templates with the Annual Plan Projects & Funded Initiatives Assist Manager Finance & Support Services, Funding and Development Managers and Programme Managers with analysis of various funded Initiatives. This is by way of analysing the revenue and the requirements around the funding contract, analysing the PHO enrolments database and identifying the required population Statutory & Treaty of Waitangi obligations To recognise Individual Responsibility for Workplace Health and Safety under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 Ensures the professional and political integrity of Auckland and Waitemata DHBs by carrying out all functions in compliance of the Treaty of Waitangi, and by demonstrating a serious commitment to keeping the treaty alive Shows sensitivity to cultural complexity in the workforce and patient population Company health and safety policies are read and understood and relevant procedures applied to their own work activities Workplace hazards are identified and reported, including self management of hazards where appropriate Can identify health and safety representative for area Waitemata District Health Board -JOB DESCRIPTION - Page 2
