2 About Jewish Book Council The Jewish Book Council is a not-for-profit organization devoted exclusively to the promotion of Jewish-interest literature. Through an evergrowing list of projects and programs, the Jewish Book Council serves as a catalyst for the writing, publication, distribution, reading and public awareness of books that reflect the rich variety of the Jewish experience. 3 In Print: Paper Brigade The Basics Jewish Book Council s annual literary magazine, Paper Brigade, features in-depth articles, personal essays, interviews, visual arts Jewish spreads, illustrations, Book and World more that will provide a snapshot of the current Jewish literary landscape while also reflecting on the history of Jewish literature in America and abroad. The title honors the group of writers and intellectuals in the Vilna Ghetto who rescued thousands of Jewish books and documents from destruction by the Nazis, who were known as The Paper Brigade. The 2019/5779 issue of Paper Brigade will be published in December The Cost All advertisements cost $550 for a full page, color ad. This is the only size on offer. Each week, an blast goes out to the JBC s opt-in subscription list and features book recommendations, news about JBC programs and events, and updates from the JBC blog, The ProsenPeople.
