We exist to support Deakin students during their tertiary studies and currently service to over 50,000 students studying at Deakin University. DUSA provides a range of services accessible to all students and specific to members which includes; bookshop services, food discounts, study materials, access to clubs & societies, student advocacy, legal services, orientation events, trips and tours, short courses, student mentoring, volunteer programs, events and free food. 2016 Orientation Week (O Week) at Deakin University (Burwood campus) is a five day festival (February 29th March 4th 2016) attracting over 5,000 first year students aged 18 24.

The O Week period is the most socially active time in the University schedule with students focused on making friends, finding their niche and being true to their self.

4 2016 Orientation Week (O Week) at Deakin University (Burwood campus) is a five day festival (February 29th March 4th 2016) attracting over 5,000 first year students aged The O Week program is one of the most fun in the country, and boasts four daytime activities, and five night events. The Burwood O Week program provides face-toface, digital and print opportunities to increase brand exposure and maximise your engagement with the Gen Y & Z audience. These generations are socially and technologically sophisticated, internet savvy and in search of their next big adventure. The O Week period is the most socially active time in the University schedule with students focused on making friends, finding their niche and being true to their self. In 2016 O Week at Burwood Campus, Deakin University will feature over 70 clubs and societies, sports, entertainment including local bands and headline DJ s, free food, parties, outdoor cinema, themes and roving entertainment. O Week is a major opportunity to deliver brand activation and secure loyal brand followers. ELGAR RD CAMPUS Elgar Road campus is home to Deakin University s pathway institute, Deakin College plus over 1,300 international students. On Friday, 4th March we take all of our O Week activities, including free food, clubs, societies and entertainment to their door. This specialised O Week session provides an audience in front of a large cohort of international students ready to experience everything Australia and Melbourne has to offer. Deakin University students will dress up in tribal, leopard print, Tarzan and Jane costumes for the event.
