21 Wilshire/La Brea Station Excavation When Now through the Fall of 2017 Work hours are 7am to 11pm, and 11pm to 7am as needed What Excavation will occur under the concrete deck, with intrinsically safe equipment certified by the State of California Work includes hanging utilities underneath Wilshire Bl, dewatering system installation, and maintenance of geotechnical instruments and dewatering wells 21

24 Jet Grouting Overview Jet grouting is a construction process that uses high-pressure air and grout to create a deep soil-concrete block Jet grouting reinforces and strengthens the soil with concrete to support tunneling and cross-passage construction Locations Jet grouting will occur at 16 cross passage locations along Wilshire Bl between La Cienega Bl and Western Av There will be no more than three jet-grouting operations performed at one time (this can make traffic control simpler and safer), in consultation with LADOT Jet grouting requires approximately 8 to 12 weeks at each location, due to traffic control and installation of geotechnical instrumentation for future tunneling Work Hours Mon. thru Fri. 7am to 9pm, Sat. and Sun. 8am to 6pm *Work hours subject to change 24
