2 3rd Annual UCVM Beef Cattle Conference The University of Calgary, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) is very pleased to announce our third annual UCVM Beef Cattle Conference taking place June 20 th 21 st, 2013 in Calgary at the Coast Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre. The focus of this conference is to address pertinent beef cattle health issues of importance to all Alberta beef industry stakeholders including producers, veterinarians, consultants and researchers. The objective of holding this annual conference is to bridge the gap between research and the community. The 2013 Beef Cattle Conference will be a 2-day event covering three pertinent topics: 1) current bovine disease issues; 2) beef cattle welfare; and 3) nutrition and health of beef cattle. In addition to UCVM faculty, we have invited experts from the University of Saskatchewan, veterinary practitioners, and beef industry leaders to speak on these topics. Plenty of time is being allocated for interaction among all stakeholders and opportunities will be provided for producers to communicate their needs to the UCVM faculty and leadership. An event of this nature cannot take place without outside financial support and we would ask you to consider supporting our conference with a generous donation.
