Design management of surfacing materials Asphalt and concrete design Consideration of local environment and ensuring no contamination issues Safe and secure working on the Client s facility On-site impact kept to a minimum Works carried out to suit other ongoing improvement works Integrated team working with the Port Owners Ability to accommodate design changes during construction Innovative solutions The relocation of the port was required to ease heavy Bay Street container traffic and allows shipping companies to operate from one location at the mouth of the Nassau Harbour. Arawak Cay marine works and new apron will allow the port to operate as a recognised international container port. The 40-acre development is the home for local shipping companies and a distribution facility for international freight to the whole of the Bahamas. BHM was appointed by Arawak Port Development Limited for the construction of the landside facilities for the new Port on Arawak Cay to service the island of New Providence and a vital link for goods transfer to the Family Islands. The works included:- Bulk earthworks and preparation for terminal areas Asphalt and concrete surfacing to Container stacking areas All associated ancillary works Construction of access and service roadways Utilities, drainage, lighting, and landscaping for terminal areas Demolition of two earthen water reservoirs and ancillary works Electrical and telecom works.

2 Baha Mar Resort Major Infrastructure works Client: China State Construction America (CCA) Ashpalt and concrete Design Consideration of local environment Works carried out to avoid disruption to existing hotels and residents. Integrated team working closely with the China State Construction America and the Baha Mar team. Working in close collaboration with third party contractors on site. Ability to react promptly to design changes. The Baha Mar Resort (also known as The Bahamian Riviera) is located on the world famous Cable Beach in Nassau. The resort will feature four elite hotels (SLS Lux, Rosewood, Grand Hyatt & the Bahamar Casino Hotel) and a state-of-the-art convention facility, including 2,000-seat performing Arts Centre and Art Gallery. Amenities will include the 18-hole, 72-par championship Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. BHM as part of a joint venture were contracted by China State Construction America for the construction of the major infrastructure works on one of the largest resort developments in the Caribbean. Scope of works included: Installation of utility services, potable water, storm water, drainage, sanitary sewer, reclaim water, gas, electrical distribution, external lighting. New car parking areas for the resort, employees, and patrons; New roadways into the resort. Hard landscaping, decorative sidewalks, waterside place and Hotel Porte Cochère s Tennis Court construction Injection and cooling well construction The Design and Build of main entry lake and showcase fountain water feature and all associated MEP works including lake filtration and water flow and return systems Three pedestrian bridges

3 Baillou Hill Road Ground works, Infrastructure and Roadways Client: Ministry for Public Works and Transport Bahamas Construction management Phased traffic management input Minimal disruption to road users, local business and general public High quality of works achieved Safe environment for road users and public maintained BHM were awarded this scheme following on from the successful completion of the Harrold Road project. BHM assisted the client in reaching their budget by offering a number of value engineering savings, including the use of swales in lieu of a gravity drainage system. The implementation of a phased traffic management solution within a highly trafficked, urban area was of significant importance to the delivery of the project. BHM were employed by the Ministry for Public Works and Transport to carry out the following scope of works: Site clearance and bulk earthworks Stabilisation of base material New utility ducts New road drainage system Road lighting and electrical work Kerbing & sidewalks Realignment of roadway and roundabouts Rehabilitation of Harrold Road Roundabout to allow for new filter lanes and increased traffic capacity Hard and soft landscaping White lining

4 Balmoral Residence Subdivision including Ground works, Infrastructure and Roadways Client: Balmoral Development Ltd Construction management Coordination with other contractors on site Engineering including drainage and asphalt design Collaborative approach to negotiate additional works Delivery on time and budget Single point of contact for client team Extensive value engineering input Close working relationship with other contractors on site The Balmoral Development is a gated community comprising a total of 70 single family lots, located on the south side of Stanford Drive. As part of sub-division works, BHM were initially employed by Balmoral Development Ltd to carry out site clearance and bulk earthworks on the project. Having successfully delivered this element of the works, the client had the confidence to negotiate significant additional works including the installation of a gravity and forced sewer system, water main, road sub base and hot mix asphalt paving. The works took place on a congested site as the lots were built while BHM carried out the subdivision element. BHM liaised closely with other contractors to ensure the works progressed smoothly and safely. BHM were employed by Balmoral Developments to carry out the following scope of works: Site clearance Bulk earthworks Storm and sewerage drainage Associated manholes and laterals Water main Roadway sub base Hot Mix Asphalt paving

5 Freeport Container Port Container stacking port Client: Hutchinson Whampoa Construction management Laboratory testing Collaborative approach to give client best value Single point of contact for client team Coordination with existing infrastructure In house plant, materials and testing Since 2005 BHM has executed multiple projects at the Freeport Container Port creating over 30 acres of container stacking areas inclusive of GS6, Delta 2,3,4, ASC, Shoreline protection Works, and Roadway Rehabilitation of Alpha and Bravo Blocks. The project scope included: Site clearance Removal of contaminated soils Bulk earthworks Drainage and well drilling Density testing Sub base and base layers 4 inch type S-II hot mix asphalt pavement Areas of chip and seal Security fencing

6 New Providence Road New Providence Island road corridor improvements Client: Jose Cartellone Design management of surfacing materials Asphalt and concrete design Liaison with existing local businesses, home owners and motorists Consideration of local environment and traffic congestion Ensuring minimum disruption to road users Out of hours working hours Advance notification of areas of work to the local communities and press Impact of the works on neighbours kept to a minimum. Integrated team working collaboratively with main Contractor Ability to react promptly to unforeseen circumstances or traffic congestion Innovative solutions to keep road fully operational at busy times The New Providence Road Improvement Project has decreased traffic congestion and relieved motorists frustration, with a major upgrade and improvement of the road network. The project includes construction of 11.6 miles of roads, and comprises of nine new roads, major improvement of ten existing roads and numerous new or improved intersections BHM was appointed as a major specialist subcontractor to support and collaborate with the main contractor, Jose Cartellone Construcciones Civiles. The project included the major reconstruction and improvement of numerous roads within the urban environment of Nassau. Much of the works were undertaken out of busy commuter hours to minimise disruption to the general public and road users. The works for BHM being predominately:- All base course works Full depth reconstruction of the existing roads Earthworks and full depth construction of new roads All asphalt surfacing works Associated sidewalk and concrete pavements.

7 Sports Complex Development Project National Sporting Complex Development Client: Ministry of Works and Transport Special design of surfacing materials for Sporting Association compliance Asphalt and concrete design Liaison with stakeholders, users and approved associations Consideration of local environment and relocation of existing facilities Single point of contact for stakeholders and Client Impact of the works on existing users addressed Integrated team working collaboratively with the Client and Stakeholders Ability to react promptly to the requirements of the specialist associations Innovative solutions proposed and agreed with specialists The new National Stadium is in the heart of New Providence on a 450 acre plot which includes access roads, 15,000 capacity parking, a recreational park, velodrome cycling track, athletes village - complete with facilities for American football, baseball and softball stadiums. The whole complex includes commercial and press facilities. To achieve the National Stadium in this key location, the existing hot rod drag racing strip and other facilities had to first be successfully relocated. BHM was the lead partner of the Joint Venture contracted by the Government of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas for the construction of infrastructure works for the National Stadium together with major works for the overall National Sporting Complex Development. Works being undertaken included: 4 Major roadways to supplement the New Providence Road Network and provide stadium access; 4 Major junction improvements along Yellow Elder Way, Thompson Boulevard and Baillou Hill Road; Stadium parking areas with ancillary works; Utility, drainage and landscaping for Stadium surrounds; Upgrade of the existing waste water treatment plant for the Greater Oakes Field and Yellow Elder Area; Relocation and upgrade of drag racing track to International Hot Rod Association compliance.

Works carried out to avoid disruption to existing hotels Integrated team working closely with Baha Mar team Ability to react promptly to design changes or unforeseen circumstances Working closely with Power Company to completely avoid power outages Innovative solutions Baha Mar, hotel development and major infrastructure is set on 3,000 feet of white-sand beach just 12 minutes from Nassau s newly expanded Lynden Pindling International Airport. The resort features an elite collection of hotel brands with gaming, entertainment, private residences, shopping and natural attractions that reflect an authentic Bahamian experience. Amenities include the 18-hole, 72-par championship Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, a state of the art convention facility, which includes a 2,000-seat performing arts centre and art gallery. The whole project has required major new and upgraded infrastructure including new highways, reinforced power and other utility supplies support by a full upgrade of Nassau International Airport. BHM as lead partner of a joint venture and overall contract administrator were contracted by Baha Mar Ltd for the construction of the major infrastructure works on one of the largest resort developments in the Caribbean. The project included: The realignment of West Bay Street, a major arterial roadway for New Providence; Construction of 7 roundabouts to supplement access to the new hotel resort development; Ancillary works for utility service upgrades, drainage, street lighting, and landscaping; New parking areas for relocated Straw Market, employees, and patrons; Relocation of the famous Cable Beach Median Walk. The construction of a new dual carriageway between realigned West Bay Street, the development and John F. Kennedy Drive, part of the main spine road for the island of New Providence; Construction of a further 3 roundabouts on existing major roads; Ancillary works for utility service upgrades, drainage, street lighting, and landscaping; Relocation of 132kVA high voltage power lines.
