Christoph Steger (CSO) This International Sales Trainee Programme is under the personal direction of Christoph Steger, Chief Sales Officer at ENGEL AUSTRIA. As your mentors, the heads of the various ENGEL business units or subsidiaries are responsible for your successful completion of the programme. Additionally, you will also enjoy the practical professional support of a buddy in the respective areas of training.

3 Your profile University or University of Applied Sciences degree (Bachelor, Master, MBA) Fields of study: technology (machine construction, plastics technology, automation), business economics A maximum of 3 years of professional experience Very good knowledge of English High willingness to travel Willingness to take on a position abroad after completing the Trainee Programme Key competencies such as High commitment High level of social competency High problem-solving skills Customer- and service-orientation Openness for change High willingness to assume responsibility, strong goal-orientation and high workload capacity Communication, teamwork and conflict skills Our common goal Building up comprehensive specialist expertise in the area of injection moulding technology (products, technologies and processes) Gaining insights into the organisational processes at ENGEL at national and international levels Obtaining extensive industry know-how with respect to markets and competitors Forming intercultural competence with a focus on Austria, China, South Korea and the USA Acquiring leadership skills Further development of important key competencies in areas such as communication and negotiation skills, working in a team, dealing with conflicts etc. Excellent career opportunities in the worldwide ENGEL distribution network

4 The programme Introductory phase and initial training Basic training in sales and the interaction with other sales related departments of the ENGEL Group. Duration approx. six months in Austria Career plan Sales Manager Head of Subsidiary Head of Business Unit Training at the production and sales subsidiaries Stays at the ENGEL production subsidiaries in the USA, China and South Korea, duration approx. six months at each location Preparation and presentation of a project Become familiar with the country-specific sales structures, processes and procedures With time spent at the home location between these activities A one-month stay at one or two selected international ENGEL sales subsidiaries.
