1 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: UK Student Recruitment Partnerships and Projects Manager Grade: SG7 Department: UK Student Recruitment Date of Job Evaluation: July 2017 Role reports to: Head of UK Student Recruitment Direct Reports None Indirect Reports: None This role profile is non-contractual and provided for guidance. It will be updated and amended from time to time in accordance with the changing needs of the University and the requirements of the job. PURPOSE OF ROLE: The UK Partnerships and Projects Manager is responsible for the management of local and national partnerships within the UK, acting as the primary liaison between the University and key recruitment partners, supporting the delivery of HE in FE as part of the University s commitment to widening access to higher education. Acting as the University s principal point of contact for UK partners they will work across Faculties, Directorates and partner institutions to build and maintain strong working relationships through advising, influencing and gaining the support of others to ensure the delivery of the services and implementation of policy and process change where there is no line management responsibility. Working collaboratively with the Education Support Team on the National Outreach Collaborative Programme (NCOP), which is delivered in some of our UK partner institutions, the role will provide direct support for the operational planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the project. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Administration Act as main contact point for UK partners, in relation to non-academic enquiries; contractual and due diligence matters, prospect data, admissions and registration; Arrange multi faculty partnership meetings and coordinate partners visits; Act as main point of contact for the University s NCOP operational delivery; Coordinate UK partnership delivery to ensure formal terms are executed and future commercial viability maintained; To be aware of current developments in FE and HE and disseminate information to the Colleges and internally, ensuring understanding of any operational implications; Ensure effective administrative systems are in place for the NCOP project; Manage the pre-population and dispatch of Annual Institutional Review forms to
2 partners and ensure completed forms are returned. Communications and Compliance Keep partners appraised of general developments at the University of Greenwich and to be aware of current developments in FE and HE and to disseminate information to the Partners, ensuring understanding of their operation and implications; Communicate key messages from Partner institutions to relevant colleagues across the University; Communicate branding guidelines; Monitor partner publicity and marketing materials, and ensure that we have an audit trail of checks having taken place annually; Coordinate the maintenance and development of webpages, UCAS course collect and SFE information with up to date partner listings; Update partners on University of Greenwich policies in relation to policy and regulations; Support NCOP communications to partner institutions; Student Recruitment Support prospect and applicant CRM communications to leverage recruitment and conversion to and from partners; Manage the sharing of recruitment materials and scheduled activities with partners, identifying platforms to maximise recruitment; Provide robust recruitment reports on application and conversion levels across partners and the key feeder schools and colleges providing proactive and reactive data driven solutions to inform and direct the relationship management of these; Working collaboratively with UK Student Recruitment and Events colleagues, broker visit opportunities to the university from partner students; Support and deliver training for student ambassadors to ensure favourable representation of all partnerships to maximise recruitment; Manage as required, the implementation of externally funded collaborative recruitment and outreach projects aimed at increasing participation rates in Higher Education (Linking London etc); Managing Self: Ability to plan and prioritise workload is essential; Ability to work on own initiative without constant supervision; Must be able to challenge and resolve issues as they arise, escalating where necessary; Keep up to date with developments in own field, broader University developments and the higher education sector in general; Ensure the Head of UK Student Recruitment is updated regularly as agreed on progress against objectives. Additional Requirements: Deal with complex requirements across a multi-campus organisation, working with colleagues across all campuses as required; Flexible approach to work and a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends; Support the operation delivery of clearing and Open Days as required. Qualifications Minimum qualification includes a good undergraduate degree from a recognised higher education institution.
