Except as hereinafter specified, the work shall be in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Bidders are to use the changed quantities of the items listed in this addendum in their proposals, and it shall become a part of the Contract Documents when construction is executed. Bidders are reminded that this addendum must be noted on the Official City Acknowledgment Form when they submit their proposal. A signed copy of the addendum must also be included with the bid submittal. Questions by Bidders Q1. I am submitting "or equal" specs for the bid for the baseball scoreboards for Fair-Play Scoreboards? Clarifications A.1 The information from Fair-Play has been reviewed and has been determined to be an acceptable substitution; please refer to attached bid specifications. Q2. Price Sheet. A.2 The price sheet has been updated to modify base bid amount with alternate for extra parts; refer to attached revised Price Sheet. Q3. Compliance Checklist. A.3 An alternate acceptable illustration has been added to the bid package; refer to attached alternate acceptable illustration. Controller shall be portable, battery operated from a rechargable battery pack (supplied), and free from connection to any fixed AC or DC power source or data transmission cables while still fully operational. Controller shall be capable of operating while utilizing an available 120V, 60hz convienence power source from any common 3 prong power receptacle when power from the supplied battery pack is unavailable. Battery charger shall be provided, Underwriters Labratories (UL) approved, capable of charging supplied rechargable battery pack, utilizing the available 120 volt, 60Hz convienence power source from any common three prong power receptacle. WIRELSS REMOTE RECEIVER Wireless remote receiver operational on the 900Mhz or 2.4Ghz band, multiple receiver channel selectable (agile), compatible with supplied controller (transmitter) module, ability to receive transmission from a specified controller operating on the same channel only, that is located within a 500ft radius. Mountable within its associated scoreboard drip proof housing and protected from environmental forces. Receiver shall be capable of processing all board functionality signals including Score, Inning, Ball, Strike, Out, and Pitch count for its associated Scoreboard. Receiver shall be a user replaceable module. Receiver antenna shall be mounted on each Scoreboard, orientated for best reception, and connect to the receiver through a drip proof penetration of the scoreboard. Antenna shall be capable of maintaining a line of sight transmission path with the wireless remote controller. SCORING INFORMATION HOME Score: 2 digit display, DISPLAYED GUEST Score: 2 digit display, INNING: 2 digit display, BALL: 3 indicators, 1,2, or 3 BALLS. STRIKE: 2 indicators, 1 or 2 STRIKES. OUT: 2 indicators, 1 or 2 OUTS. CAPTION SPECIFICATIONS "HOME", "VISITOR", and "INNING": 8" tall for main scoreboard and 3 1/2" tall for pitch county board. "BALL", "STRIKE", "OUT": 6" tall. DESIGN WARRANTY Minimum 60 month manufacturer's warranty, including factory repair service. Minimum 120 month manufacturer's warranty for UV resistant paint upgrade. Warranty documentation to be submitted with Bid. TECHNICAL SUPPORT Live technical support available without charge for entire warranty period. PARTS LIST & MATERIALS Vendor will include two sets of operator's manuals and instructions with each delivered scoreboard. INSTALLATION Installation will be done by City of Palm Coast in accordance with instructions supplied by vendor. Vendor to furnish means of installation on concrete posts. MANUFACTURER'S Vendor will include as part of bid price the submission of a complete manufacturer's specifications and drawings/diagrams/photographs, or other visual representation of SPECIFICATIONS AND proposed equipment Florida Product Approval documentation or Florida Signed and sealed engineering drawings meeting 2010 Florida Building Codes & approved supplements, DRAWINGS suitable for submission with a construction permit application; excluding concrete post design. Scoreboard mounting attatchements are Florida Building Codes and Standards product approved; provide Florida Product Approval information with bid submission. If item(s) and/or installation does not have Florida Product Approval then provide two sets of signed and sealed by a Florida Registered Engineer for the scoreboard assembly and scoreboard connection to support posts. (The City of Palm Coast will provide structural engineering design for support posts only)
