Take this opportunity to network with your colleagues from like facilities (private, resort, public/off-course specialty) to discuss the challenges and the successes of your retail operations. 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Retail Strategies - Course III Presented by: Tracy Moffatt, AGM President, K & K Consulting Building on principles from Retail Strategies Courses I and II, this session focuses on developing a sound inventory plan for your facility and an Open- to-buy. It will walk you through the process of forecasting Retail Sales, Cost of Sales, and Turnover to arrive at an appropriate average inventory for your facility. Next a monthly inventory plan will be developed and an Open- to-buy for your facility created. You will leave with a series of excel spreadsheets for use at your own facility. Retail Strategies Courses I and II should be completed before attending Retail Strategies Course III. How to Position The Ask! This session focuses first on using your Open-to-Buy to place merchandise orders for your facility by first analyzing vendors and then developing a Vendor Buy Plan. The second focus of this session is running the Open-to-Buy by analyzing effects of current inventory position on your Open-to-Buy Plan. Options will be discussed for reacting to over bought and under bought situations to maximize turnover and profit. Retail Strategies Course III should be completed before attending this course. Renovations: The Challenges. The Outcomes. Moderator: Vicki Bernstein, Bernstein Retail Productions Come listen and explore the challenges and outcomes of store renovations from retailers that have experienced it firsthand. Good, Better, Best: Evaluating Your Visuals and Customer Service Standards and Building an Action Plan for Improvement Presented by: Leigha Main Turner, Baltusrol Golf Club This session will give you a tool to evaluate many aspects of your visual merchandising to include mannequins, fixtures, folding and steaming as well as customer service initiatives to include gift delivery, gift wrapping, tailoring and trade in programs.
