1 Marketing Manager Mercedes-Benz Trucks for Contact Job-ad-number P0005V159 Field of activity Sales & Marketing Publishing date Department Tasks Reporting Head of Business Development Main Objective Ensure a consistent, effective and professional regional Marketing and Communication of Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Mercedes-Benz Military Vehicles for Sales and Customer Services & Parts in the Middle East and North Africa region to achieve best possible market exploitation within the available budgets and resources. Closely coordinate and align Sales and Customer Services & Parts Marketing and Communication activities with Daimler Headquarters, within the RC MENA (in particular the Market Management) and General Distributors & Authorized Dealers. Provide guidance and support to partners in the network related to national Marketing & Communication activities and monitor their activities. Develop the recurring annual regional Marketing & Communication Plan and Budget for Sales and Customer Services and Parts for Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Mercedes-Benz Military Vehicles. Generate appropriate measures to enhance the achievement of Sales & After-Sales targets, implement the defined measures and ensure a follow-up.

2 Assure the effectiveness of the selected Marketing & Communication measures, considering the market environment and competitive situation. Implement and maintain marketing processes and measures in accordance with corporate standards and principles (e.g. CI) and the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Marketing Strategy, considering specific regional requirements and conditions. Tasks Marketing Management Mercedes-Benz Trucks & Military Vehicles Permanent exchange with Market Management (Sales & Customer Services and Parts) and Product Management (Sales & Customer Services and Parts) in terms of market development, customer demands, product news and competition behaviour to further enhance information and data on-hand regarding market trends and perceptions Define Marketing & Communication measures in accordance to HQ guidelines and based on market observation and research Prepare Annual Regional Marketing & Communication Plan for Sales & Customer Services and Parts based on HQ annual marketing plan Develop and implement Online Marketing & Communications strategy Analyse, revise and monitor annual General Distributor (GD) Marketing & Communications Plan for all GDs in alignment with Market Managers Sales and CSP - ensure conformity with CI Guidelines and the regional Marketing & Communications

3 Plan Monitor professional execution and management of GDs Marketing/ Communication activities in order to achieve/exceed GD sales targets Develop, execute and control CV Marketing/ Communication Budget-Plan Ensure optimum use of available financial sources Operational Marketing Mercedes-Benz Trucks & Military Vehicles Implement the defined measures in the Annual Regional Marketing & Communication Plan for Sales & CSP and ensure effectiveness of activities Develop, implement and monitor defined Marketing Campaigns for MB Trucks Consult and support GDs in developing their individual Marketing & Communication Plans for Sales & CSP Implement and monitor defined processes regarding GD Marketing contribution ( Inquiry Sheet ) in alignment with market managers

4 Transfer continuously Marketing/ Communication know-how to the GD network in order to further professionalize CV network Manage and maintain the Online Marketing & Communication activities for Mercedes- Benz Trucks and Military Vehicles Product Marketing Mercedes-Benz Trucks & Military Vehicles Closely exchange and align with Product Management (Sales & Customer Services and Parts) and define, develop and implement appropriate Product Marketing measures Utilize the Marketing Mix to best promote MB products to customers and prospects Customize Product Marketing material where necessary and reasonable, sticking to brand standards and guidelines Develop and implement Marketing & Communication measures for newly launched products Initiate, organize and execute local photo shooting sessions

5 Communication Mercedes-Benz Trucks & Military Vehicles Elaborate marketing and communication activities with advertising & media agencies Ensure brand building & maintenance: brand philosophy and communication Safeguard development, production, distribution and availability of advertisement, promotion and PR initiatives across all GD s (POS, PR) Monitor the regional press releases of Mercedes-Benz and relevant competitors Supervision and support for application of Mercedes-Benz Trucks CI-Standards on all related communication material Provide guidance and input to GDs for local PR activities and monitor them Event Management Generate and control marketing & communication events budget

6 Organize and manage regional business meetings & sales conferences Be responsible for the planning and execution of comprehensive VIP customer events Prepare, support and manage the implementation of product launch related events Support all regional launches and transfer know-how to all GD s Special projects: motor shows, exhibitions, market acceptance tests, road shows etc. Organize and manage full event set up and execution Cost negotiations with all event supplier to ensure optimum use of all available financial sources in cooperation with procurement Marketing Administration Control Marketing budgets and create and provide regular budget reports to stakeholders

7 Ensure the adherence to set processes and procedures when it comes to Procurement and Accounting Safeguard the complete and consistent documentation of Marketing related documents such as POs, SAs, Inquiry Forms and Invoices/Debit notes HR Management Determination and monitoring personnel needs of the Marketing team on the basis of job descriptions Implementation of Individual Development Plans Full responsibility for the individual goal setting process Lead IT / performance evaluation Regular review of Target Achievement of employees incl. providing regular feedback

9 Good organizational skills Dedication Commitment Knowledge/Skill/Experience Distinctive brand and product passion, analytical/managerial/coordinative skills; creative thinking - structured acting; highly developed ability to holistically focus and handle multilateral topics; dedicated brand and customer-orientation; willingness to conduct travels. 3 to 5 years experience in the automotive business; experience in different areas of Marketing & Communication on manufacturer/wholesale/retail level, experience in working within Sales and/or After-Sales unit of a vehicle manufacturer (OEM). Knowledge in (preferably Mercedes-Benz) Commercial Vehicle Products as well as related systems and processes advantageous. Experience in the Middle East and North Africa region and market conditions is preferred.

10 Excellent MS-Office and Internet applications abilities are a matter of course. English (must) and Arabic (preferably), French, German (advantageous).
