New users aged - 8 will have a default privacy setting fr sharing cntent with friends nly. Think abut creating friend lists in rder t share different infrmatin with yur chsen audiences. Hw t Create Friend Lists. Frm yur hme page, scrll dwn t the Friends sectin and select Mre.. Then select Create List.. Write in the list s name. 4. Enter names f friends yu want t add t the list in the Members Sectin. 5. Click Create. The new list will nw be an ptin when yu add friends t lists. Organise Friend Lists. Chse a Friend List.. Click Manage List buttn (Tp right, under Hme buttn).. Edit List allws yu t remve r add friends t the list. 4. Click n a friend t remve. 5. Click n tp left drp dwn and select Friends. Click n wh t add t the list. 6. Click Finish t add them. Cntrl yur Applicatins T remve an app r game, turn it ff r adjust the privacy settings:. Click the Drp Dwn (tp right ) and select Settings.. Click Apps in the left clumn. Then either: Hver ver the app r game yu d like t remve and click x r Hver ver an app r game and then click Edit t adjust its settings r Under Apps, Websites and Plugins, click Edit and then Disable Platfrm Once yu ve remved the app r game, it shuld n lnger pst t yur timeline. Check ut what yur timeline lks like t the public by using the View As... tl in yur privacy shrtcuts Keep an eye n yur timeline. Click the Privacy shrtcut (tp right ). Click n See Mre Settings then Timeline and Tagging. Turn n Review psts friends tag yu in s yu can chse what s visible n yur timeline. Ensure yu can t be fund in a public web search!. Facebk has in-line privacy cntrls s yu can set yur audience t: Private, Friends, Friends f Friends, Public, befre yu pst a status update. The Activity Lg is nly visible t yu. This tl makes it easier fr yu t review yur psts and make changes t the audience f past cntent. Changing yur preferences T understand why yu re seeing a particular ad:. Click the Crss in the right hand crner f the ad (x). Select Abut this Ad T hide ads that yu dn t want t see:. Click the Crss in the right hand crner f the ad (x). Select I Dn t Want T See This. If yu dn t want t see any mre ads frm a certain advertiser. Select Hide all frm advertiser 4. Fill in the frm that fllws t help Facebk understand which ads yu d and dn t want t see Managing yur preferences is nly pssible in sme areas n Facebk right nw. Even after making changes, yu might still see ads that seem related t things yu remved. E.g. Yu may see an ad if it s bradly targeted in a twn r city. Yu can find ut mre abut Facebk Adverts here: Reprt abuse t Facebk If yu feel that yu are being bullied n Facebk, yu can reprt it n the site using the Drp Dwn in the crner f any pst. Use the Scial Reprting feature t get help frm a parent, teacher r trusted friend withut reprting the bully directly. The Scial Reprting tl can be really useful if a friend psts smething like an embarrassing pht which may nt break Facebk s rules. T learn mre abut Scial Reprting g t Remember t take evidence and blck abusive users by chsing the Blck ptin by clicking the cg icn n the frnt f their Timeline. Blcking smene means they will n lnger be able t cntact yu n Facebk. Yu can track prgress f yur reprts using the Supprt Dashbard, which will als alert yu when a decisin has been made abut yur reprt. Yu can find this by clicking the Drp Dwn (tp right ) and selecting Settings, Supprt Dashbard. If cntent isn t remved, the reprter will be tld why. Mre infrmatin n the Supprt Dashbard can be fund here: Reprting features are the same acrss all devices. Hw d I deactivate my Facebk accunt? If yu deactivate yur Facebk accunt, yur timeline will nt be erased, but temprarily suspended. N ne will be able t find yur accunt and it will n lnger appear in Friends lists.. Click the Drp Dwn. Settings.. Security (left hand side f page). 4. Deactivate yur accunt. Hw d I permanently delete my Facebk accunt?. Click the Drp Dwn. Help.. Type Hw d I permanently delete my accunt? and fllw the link t Submit yur request here. c All data and infrmatin in the accunt will be kept and can be reactivated at any time. c Warning! Yur Facebk accunt will becme deactivated fr 4 days and will be deleted if yu d nt use it in that time.

Twitter-Checklist Reprting If smene has psted smething that yu dn t think shuld be n Twitter (please read the Twitter rules) but yu dn t want t reprt the persn wh psted it; fllw these steps: Click n the next t the favurite star (n the Tweet) Select Reprt frm the drp dwn menu Chse what type f reprt and fllw the steps prvided If yu dn t want t see the pst n yur timeline but dn t think it warrants a reprt, yu can use the Mute ptin t hide the pst. If yu want t reprt a Twitter user yu need t; G t their prfile and click n the next t the buttn. Click Reprt, and then select what type f reprt yu wuld like t make. If yu are reprting smething r smene fr being vilent r threatening, yu will receive an frm frm Twitter cnfirming yur reprt, making it easier and clearer fr law enfrcement, shuld yu wish t make it a plice matter. Yu dn t have t be fllwing smene t reprt them r their tweet. Privacy When yu set up a Twitter accunt it is autmatically set t Public, this means that anyne can see yur Tweets, even if they dn t fllw yu; even if they dn t have a Twitter accunt. Yu can Prtect yur tweets, which means anyne wh desn t fllw yu wuld need t, in rder t see yur tweets. 4 What Is Twitter? Wh Can Fllw Me? Unfllw r Delete Cntent? Deactivate my accunt? Twitter is a scial netwrking site with ver 88 millin users! My Fllwers Unfllwing Deactivating Yur Accunt The big appeal with Twitter is hw rapid and quick the tweets cme in, meaning there is nearly always smething new t read: yu can track hundreds f interesting tweeters, and read their cntent with a glance, even celebrities and public figures. One f the big differences frm the ther majr scial netwrking sites is, yu nly have 40 characters t use per tweet, this means yu have t chse yur wrds very carefully, r just tweet and tweet and tweet... it als prmtes fcused and clever use f language making tweets interesting and easy t read, as well as challenging t write. Twitter is a ppular public platfrm used by many t express themselves, share stries, pictures and articles n the net. It can be a place peple can find supprt, friends, jkes and much mre. Unfrtunately like anything, it is nt always used fr gd and that s why we have devised this checklist t help yu stay safe! If yu have chsen t Prtect yur tweets yu will receive a ntificatin when smene has requested t fllw yu. This allws yu t chse whether t accept r decline their fllw. If yu have chsen nt t prtect yur tweets, anyne can fllw yu (unless yu have previusly blcked them) and yu will receive a ntificatin infrming that they have started fllwing yu. Wh am I Fllwing? If yu are lking t fllw a celebrity yu like, Twitter has made it easy fr yu. Twitter verifies celebrities, famus peple and public figures. This is displayed with a next t their Twitter handle. Twitter allws pardy and fan accunts s this helps yu identify the real deal quickly and easily. Yu can fllw whever yu like, and Twitter will als make suggestins n wh they think yu might like t fllw. If yu n lnger wish t fllw smene yu can unfllw them by ging t their Twitter prfile, click the buttn and yu will autmatically unfllw. If yu still want t fllw smene but dn t want t see their tweets; click the gear n their prfile and select Mute, yu can un-mute at any time. If yu dn t think unfllwing them is enugh yu can als Blck a user. Click the gear n their page and select Blck. This means that the user will n lnger be able t fllw r message yu. It s gd practice t ccasinally lk thrugh yur fllwers and have a spring clean. If yu n lnger knw smene r dn t want them seeing yur tweets, then its gd t remve them - it s easy t frget wh s fllwing yu. Deleting Cntent If yu wuld like t delete a pst yu created, all yu need t d is click n the next t the favurite star n the pst and click delete. This wrks fr any tweet r re-tweet. If yu have Favrited smething but didn t want t, yu just have t click the again t un-favurite. Befre yu deactivate yur accunt yu shuld knw; Twitter keeps yur data fr 0 days, after which it will be permanently deleted. Yu can re-activate yur accunt in this 0 day perid just by lgging in. If yu want t have a Twitter accunt after 0 days f de-activating yur accunt yu will have t start frm scratch. T deactivate yur accunt; Lg in t Twitter Click n the yur small prfile picture (tp crner) and select Settings Scrll dwn t the bttm f the page and click Deactivate accunt Read the accunt deactivatin infrmatin Select Okay, fine, deactivate accunt Enter yur passwrd fr the accunt when prmpted and verify that yu want t deactivate yur accunt.

T blck r unblck smene: G t their prfile by finding them in yur fllwers list r by searching fr their name r username. Tap their username t pen their prfile and then tap and (Andrid). Tap Blck User. T unblck smene, fllw the steps abve and then tap Unblck User. (ios) Yu can delete cmments yu ve made, including pht r vide captins, as well as cmments ther peple have left n yur psts. T delete a cmment r captin: Tap Cmment belw the pht Swipe t the left ver the cmment r captin yu d like t delete Tap and then chse if yu want t Delete r Delete and Reprt Abuse Tap belw the pht Tap the cmment r captin yu want t delete When yu delete yur accunt, yur prfile, phts, vides, cmments, likes and fllwers will be permanently remved. T delete yur accunt: Lg int instagram.cm frm a cmputer Click yur username in the tp right and then select Edit Prfile Click I d like t delete my accunt in the bttm right Keep in mind that we can t reactivate yur accunt, and yu can t sign up with the same username again after the accunt has been deleted. If yu dn t want t delete yur accunt but want t change wh can see it, yu can set yur psts t private r blck peple. Tap Send. Chse if yu want t Delete Cmment r Delete Cmment and Reprt Abuse

If yu have a private accunt, yu have t apprve every request t fllw yu and peple will nly be able t see yur phts r vides if yu apprve them as a fllwer. Snapchat-Checklist Blcking and Deleting friends Blcking smene n Snapchat means they will be prevented frm sending yu Snaps, Chats r viewing yur Stries. Deleting smene means they will n lnger shw up n yur friends list, but yur privacy settings determine whether r nt they can still see yur Snaps. T blck r delete a cntact: Tap the username yu want t blck r delete in yur My Friends page. Tap the gear icn that appears next t their name. Select Blck t prevent Snaps, Chats r frm them viewing yur Stries. Select Remve Friend t remve them frm yur friends list. T blck smene wh isn t in yur friends list, just swipe n their name n the Chat screen t pen a Chat with them. Then tap the buttn in the tp left crner t access their prfile, where yu can blck them. T unblck a user: Tap the ghst at the tp f the Camera screen. Then tap the gear icn and scrll dwn t Accunt Actins and tap Blcked. Yu shuld see a list f Snapchatters wh are currently blcked by yu. Tap the X next t their name t unblck them. Depending n yur privacy settings yu may need t re-add each ther as Changing Yur Privacy Settings By default, nly Snapchatters yu add t yur friends list can send yu Snaps. Snapchatters can take phts, recrd vides, add text and drawings and send them t friends. These Snaps aren t saved by default s it feels mre like having an rdinary cnversatin. Once everyne has viewed a Snap, Snapchat s system is designed t autmatically delete it frm their servers. Opened Snaps typically cannt be retrieved frm Snapchat s servers by anyne, fr any reasn. Upn registratin Team Snapchat will autmatically send yu a series f Snaps t take yu thrugh the basics. Age restrictins Snapchat is nt intended fr children under the age f. Teens aged -7 shuld have permissin frm a parent r legal guardian t use the app. A Snapchat accunt can be deleted by ging t accunts/delete_accunt and entering the child s username and passwrd. If Snapchat btains knwledge that a user is under the age f they will terminate the accunt. Nte: If yu frget yur passwrd yu can submit a passwrd reset request t Snapchat at: Finding and Adding Friends Tap the ghst n the camera screen. T add friends, tap the Add Friends icn. Frm there, yu can add friends by username, frm yur device s address bk, by Snapcde, r with the Add Nearby feature. T add friends frm yur address bk, yu will be prmpted t verify yur phne number. Once verified, all f yur phne cntacts with Snapchat accunts will be displayed, alng with friends wh dn t have Snapchat, wh yu can invite via SMS T add a friend wh has already added yu, tap Added me, lcate their username in the list, then tap the plus icn next t their name. If yu dn t want friends t find yu thrugh yur phne number: Tap ghst n the camera screen, then tap the gear icn in the upper-right crner. Tap Mbile Number. Untick Allw my friends t find me t unlink yur phne number. Snapchat encurages self-expressin, but wants Snapchatters t be able t use the app safely and enjyably. Snapchat desn t tlerate Snaps that share: Prngraphy, nudity r sexuallly suggestive cntent invlving peple under the age f 8 Invasins f privacy r impersnatin f thers Threats, harassment r bullying f ther peple Self-harm Snapchat may remve this type f cntent and suspend accunts that will be prhibited frm using Snapchat in the future. Depending n yur privacy settings, the phts and vides added t a Stry can be viewed by all Snapchatters, just yur friends, r a custmized grup. Lenses, Filters and Stickers Filters are a fun way t custmize yur snaps with verlays like the time r the weather. Gefilters are specific t lcatins and their unique designs will change frm place-t-place, s they require yur device s lcatin services t be enabled. Remember, if yu add a Gefilter t yur Snap r Stry, yu re publicising yur whereabuts t anyne yu share it with. Lenses add real-time special effects and sunds t a Snap. Stickers are clrful images and cartns that give users additinal ways t express themselves. Discver Discver allws Snapchatters t explre channels frm established publishers wh curate their wn cntent. The Discver screen als includes a selectin f the day s Live Stries. Live Stries are a stream f Snaps submitted by Snapchatters at varius lcatins and events arund the wrld. Snapchatters wh have their lcatin services n at the same event lcatin will be given the ptin t cntribute Snaps t the Live Stry. The end result is a Stry tld frm a cmmunity perspective with lts f different pints view. Vide and text Chat Snapchat als allws fr vide and text chat. Like Snaps, chats are cleared when a recipient leaves the Chat screen. But in Chat, users have the ptin t save a message they d like t keep. When yu save a chat, yur friend can see that yu saved it, as indicated by a dark gray backgrund behind the message. Memries Memries is a persnal cllectin f the Snaps and Stries yu save. Memries can be used t create new Stries and Snaps. Snapchatters can als chse t stre certain Memries in the passwrd-prtected My Eyes Only sectin.
