1 Job Title: Reports To: Responsible For: Position Purpose: Key Challenges MS Senior Consultant Occupational Therapist Business Development Manager Oversighting clinical practice and proving a range of specialist clinical services to support participants with disabilities to meet their identified needs Work within a team environment supporting allied health staff in developing the skills required to take on a wider range of NDIS requests. To work with participants who have a NDIS package, compensable funding, fee for service The ability to work within a competitive environment, remain focussed on progressing the participant goals within prescribed hours and therapy support description. Work in partnership with participants to build their capacity to build their skills to support their social and economic goals to live the life they want. 2 Case load Numbers: Geographical Spread/Breadth Other: Will be required to achieve billing target of approximately 50% billable hours per week. Caseload numbers will vary to achieve this target and will be determined by the level of funding available in participant plans, and the time frame over which services are to be provided and supervision required. Coverage across defined area within ACT/NSW/VIC including selected Regional areas. B. JOB REQUIREMENTS Key Result Area 1 Clinical oversight Identifies and leads the development of specific processes to support the Allied Health team providing NDIS service delivery Provides clinical assessment and prescription skill support and supervision to allied health team members Identifies and adopts innovative clinical practice models including the contribution to the development of processes /reporting formats and procedures for the team Participate in quality improvement activities Participate in clinical research activities as required. Intake requests are allocated and delivery of customer outcomes are delivered in a timely fashion Skills, knowledge and experience are used when supervising staff to ensure that they are supported and operate within their scope of practice Model of service delivery reflects person centred practice and consumer directed care Participation contributes to MSL strategic framework MS Consultant Senior Allied Health May

3 Key Result Area 2 Manage portfolio of service recipients and assist other team members as needed Conduct specialist assessments of skills, abilities and needs of the participant, including but not limited to; workplace assessments, home assessments, functional and cognitive assessments, and determining the needs in personal care, equipment, specialised seating, assistive technology and / or Home modifications. Meets the participant's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining treatment plans or prescription. Maintain a continuous improvement culture & be efficient in the delivery of our business strategies. Provide quality written reports as required by the NDIA. Organisational Support Services are delivered in an accurate and timely manner; service recipients are actively contributing to decisions, are kept up to date and assisted to resolve any issues. Assessment reports are professionally developed and reflect participants required needs. High quality in electronic file management and electronic file entries is maintained and available for use Service recipient has early therapy support and preventative strategies identified as evidenced by changes recommended to plans Key Result Area 2 Relationship Management Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies per participant s physical capacity, cognition, and interest that complement their goals. Work with internal and external service providers and suppliers to ensure maximum value for money achieved. Implement strategies to ensure seamless communication across the organisation. Establish and foster effective working relationships with Internal (Support Coordinators) external organisations, Local Area Co-ordinator (LAC), National Disability Insurance scheme (NDIS) Planner, and other relevant providers to achieve optimal outcomes for service recipient MS Consultant Senior Allied Health May

4 Provide proactive and effective customer communication and build relationships and capacity with providers and service recipient/families Team effectiveness, as observed by peers and Managers in team meetings. Shares knowledge formally and informally with team members and others Key Result Area 3 Administration To strive for solutions that proactively manage the balance between Participant /service risks and maximise service recipient outcomes Complies with federal, state, local legal certification requirements such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality and Safeguarding Framework and MSL compliance framework. Documentation, reporting and communication of mandatory information is maintained in a compliant format. Service provision is recorded in a timely manner to ensure accurate billing is achieved. Ensure effective decision making to minimize business risk. Audits show compliance with expected standards and requirements Support needs, reports, outcome documentation and plan reviews are scheduled and completed. Agreed billable hours are achieved. C. SELECTION CRITERIA Essential: Relevant Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration. 5 years experience in relevant role in Disability or Health sector Demonstrates experience providing clinical supervision to allied health professionals Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS environment and requirements of service agreements Demonstrated expert knowledge and skills in a specific clinical speciality Demonstrated record for delivering solutions valued by service participants utilising a consumer directed care approach. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Demonstrated ability to manage individualised budgets and reach financial targets. Demonstrated ability to achieve results through strong influence and consultative skills. Resilience and proven ability to adapt style and approach to suit varying situations. High levels of computer literacy in using a range of Office computer packages Relevant State/Territory current Driver Licence and personal vehicle for use Working with Children Check / Police Check/Vulnerable People Check (ACT only) required E.
